Welcome to Mountain View Chalet!

Mountain View Chalet is a charming chalet with sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Situated between Boone and Blowing Rock, this home is favorably located to many local attractions like Appalachian Ski Mountain (15-minute drive), Tweetsie Railroad Amusement Park, and High Gravity Adventures Zipline and Aerial Park (10-minute drive). The scenic Blue Ridge Parkway provides hiking trails, lakes, waterfalls, canoeing and kayaking and is accessible in less than a 5-minute drive.

This peaceful High Country getaway provides a spacious outdoor living space to take in the tranquil surroundings, including a hot tub, ample seating, outdoor dining, a fire table, and an outdoor bar. Local wildlife, including birds and deer, make regular appearances in the surrounding yard space.

Inside, the open floor plan boasts vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows overlooking the mountain landscape. The living area has a large HDTV centered over the cozy fireplace, surrounded by comfy seating. The kitchen has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a convenient bar with three (3) seats, and the dining table can accommodate eight (8). Additional seating is available for six (6) and four (4), respectively, at the outdoor table and bar.

The master bedroom, located on the main level, has a king-size bed, an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, and dual vanities. Upstairs, two bedrooms with king-size beds share a full bathroom with a tub and shower combo. A bedroom with two twin beds and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower is on the lower level. There is additional sleeping space on the queen sleeper sofa in the game room on the lower level.

The family game room has a pool table, classic board games, and a seating area with a fireplace and HDTV on the lower level. The game room accesses the covered deck with a panoramic view, furnished with rocking chairs and a table.

This home is not pet-friendly. A shared parking area can accommodate two (2) vehicles. Access to this home is down a flight of stairs.

The location was prefect. Secluded but not too far away from major stores and ski resort.
The views were breathtaking. The hot tub felt amazing on those cold nights. The upstairs tub drains very slowly, but that is really the only minor issue we had.

Great Graduation Family Gathering
We gathered members from both sides of our family for our daughter’s graduation from App State. The 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths gave us plenty of privacy. The large porches were spectacular (a little too cold when we were there to fully enjoy them). I loved how they did the game room. The kitchen was well stocked. The location is really close to both Blowing Rock and Boone.

Great Stay
We came for my parents’ anniversary and it was wonderful. Great view and location cannot be beat! Easy check in and check out. Enjoyed getting to places quickly and wish we had more time. The area has so much to offer. Great place for all ages.

Girls Trip
We had a group of girls for a bachelorette party and we loved the property! It was nestled in a quiet and beautiful spot. The only thing I would say is that the "pull out" couches are two small black futon couches that collapse down. Not comfortable at all. But other than that, it was great. The management was very responsive.

Lovely home, beautiful view. For flat land Floridians, drive to property definitely a ride. Loved seeing deer family in front of home several mornings & evenings. Only downside was limited parking but nothing to do about that. Kids loved the game room. Would definitely book again.

My stay!
The only issue I had was the cleanliness. Grill hadn’t been cleaned in months caught on fire. The dryer filter hadn’t been touched since I don’t know when. Cabinets and futon were full of crumbs. The futons were not even sleep able they should not be advertised as beds. Besides those issues the cabin was lovely. Location and view was amazing just need to keep up with cleaning. Especially during this time of covid if those basics are not being done then I can pretty much guarantee covid requirements are being met for place that is being rented to many groups of people. Last, the fence coming into the property has been damaged. Just thought I would mention that for safety reasons and not sure if you have been notified about that. We are pleased with our trip and thank you again.

Beautiful views!
The property was perfect for our family ! Definitely need 4 wh drive or chains in winter , but our weather great , hot tub be was on point ! And 10 min to App State and Blowing Rock Market etc. we had a blast! Doesn’t have TV in bedroom but we all enjoy the peace and quiet while sleeping. Will be back!!
