Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Harrah's. During a storm, the property lost main power. Although the casino had no issues with power, the hotel did not have functioning power in the rooms (no lights, no HVAC). They sent a text message advising us of the following (Ivy is their interactive concierge): "Hi! It’s Ivy. Due to recent storms, we’re experiencing a power outage and are operating on limited power until tomorrow. You’re welcome to cancel or shorten your stay with no fees or penalty. I appreciate your patience and understanding as power crews work diligently to make repairs. I will provide an update as soon as I have more information." Because there was still no power in our rooms when it was time to go to bed, we decided we would check out under the promise our trip would be refunded. Despite Expedia advocating on our behalf, Harrah's refused to honor their message and would not refund our trip. We planned to rebook our trip at Harrah's when we return, but now we will not.

Great resort!

Great place! Beware of the up charge for ‘resort fee’ and ‘local tax’, it adds $60 plus to your bill. Hotel was super nice, food was really good and staff was top notch.

The hotel and amenities were top notch as usual with a friendly and professional staff. Unfortunately on our final evening there, a terrible storm caused a 12 hour power outage. There was no room service or restaurant availability just a dark,silent room. I would have thought that a facility that size would have backup generators.

The Cherokee Tower is for people that like walking

Don’t stay in the Cherokee Tower unless you like walking. Especially if you want to go to Gordon Ramsay’s Food Market. It is all the way past the other side of the casino. If you don’t want Starbucks or Guy Fieri’s you’ll be walking. It was faster and easier to drive to McDonald’s for breakfast. And if you do stay there, be aware that you shouldn’t park in the first parking garage you come to (if you’re coming from the east). You need to go a couple more blocks to the next garage. We had no idea and parked and went in to check in, only to find out that we had to go back out and go to the other garage. Then, when you enter the building it is a good walk to registration, with no signs stating that. We weren’t sure we were in the right place. One tip, if you have a handicap placard, it’s best to go in the garage entrance that says valet. There are also some handicap spaces there right by the door.

The only complaint i would have is that everything is so far from each other and you have to walk a long way to get to point A to point b. We didnt have a remote for our tv when we checked in but they brought us a new one within 30mins. The pools seemed alot bigger in the pictures too. They were quite small in person.
