This 1939 3 bedroom/2 bath bungalow has been fully renovated as a contemporary home to accommodate 8 guests with new furniture, appliances and high-end amenities. Perfect surroundings for the entire family, large groups or co-workers to relax and enjoy this authentic Austin home. When you’re ready to explore, you are surrounded by tons of shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Walking distance to the iconic South Lamar and South First or a short Uber ride to South Congress or downtown.
Have a furry friend? We love pets! There is a $75 fee/per stay to ensure a thorough cleaning for the next guests.

\- This 3BR house and shares a long driveway with a detached cottage in the back. If you are driving more than one car, be prepared to park additional cars on the side streets 1/2 block away once you drop off your belongings. The driveway is wide enough that two cars can be side by side. If you are driving, and to be considerate, please pull you car all the way to the left so the tenant can easily get in and out.

Nice place

Place was clean when we got there. Little trouble getting the lock to work but a phone call to the contact solved that. Parking setup a little hairy but worked ok. Deck a little iffy but we managed just fine. All in all a very fun place.

We had an eventful stay: excellent host even in a tough spot. -Our toilets water tank broke in the middle of the night. -This HOST wasted ZERO TIME to solve our problem. Within 3 hours a plumber and the owner showed up to FULLY REPLACE. Not just patch work repair-REPLACED the old one with a brand new toilet. -Mind blowing but the immediate problem solving and respect for tenants shows that this is best place for you to stay.

Great spot for a great price

This cottage is in an amazing location for its price, so totally worth it from a budget perspective, and very clean when we got there. Would definitely stay here again. It’s also fenced in so it was perfect for our dogs. The parking situation was a little frustrating, the people staying in the main house had a large suv and trying to squeeze by it to get in and out through the gate with our vehicle was a process every time, especially since we were driving everywhere. We had the option to park on the road but didn’t feel comfortable doing so, but that is an option to avoid this. There also weren’t any extra blankets, so if you plan to stay on the futon i would maybe plan ahead for that or request some. overall a great spot and recommend!

So close to conveniences

We had excellent communication with the owner as we didn’t receive the check in information the first time she sent it. The owner allowed us to stay for an extra hour since our convention ended at 12:30. It had everything we needed for us and our dog. Very clean and close to so many restaurants and downtown. Just a short Uber ride to the convention center. We did miss having a washer and dryer. The toaster set off the smoke alarm every time we used it. The bed was very comfortable. There was no broom available. We tracked in a few leaves.

Wonderful property

The property is in a terrific location of Austin, close to all of the South Side amazingness of town. There is a large, well-kept back yard, which is perfect on the beautiful days Austin has. It's a well-thought out space that is cozy and has everything you need for a great stay!

Overall Great Stay

This was the perfect size for our little family of 3 and our dog! The location was very convenient to everything Austin has to offer! We walked much of the time to eat out. The fenced in yard was also great for our dog. The property was decorated nicely and had pretty much everything you would need. We also appreciated the abundance of bath towels since there is not a washer and dryer!! The only suggestion I have is to improve on the cleaning. The bathroom could use some extra love in that department and the floors seemed a little grimy throughout. Perhaps, you might want to reconsider your cleaning company. I would also be sure to include a broom and dust pan for guest to use. While we were lucky enough to enjoy Austin in the Fall, the trees were really dropping some leaves and many ended up inside. The broom would have come in handy to sweep all the leaves that came on from our shoes and dog. Overall we enjoyed our long weekend and would stay here again!

Good location

Came to Austin for a long weekend of shows and BBQ and the town did not disappoint. Quiet and comfortable unit. Nice memory foam mattress. Did not use the kitchen but it appeared well stocked. Short and cheap Uber ride to South Congress. Will stay again.

Great choice if you are on a budget

- We only stayed in the smaller back unit - The backyard property is very cute and well decorated. There is plenty of room for 2 or 3 people and a great living area. Parking can be confusing to work the gate to the backyard at night. There is plenty of parking room through the driveway past the gate. The outdoor lighting provided was perfect. We did notice the unit did not seem professionally cleaned and there was dog hair on couch and in bed. I do know pets are allowed here though. We did find multiple dead bugs throughout our stay, although they were dead/dying. The comforter and throw pillows, need to be replaced due to several stains. Overall, the location was incredible, beautiful home(s) and neighborhood. Our trip to Austin was amazing and we were so close to everything! At the price it is hard to beat. We would stay again if a few minor changes are made.

Great Location

My wife and I spent two weeks in this cottage and had a great time. The cottage has everything you need to keep you comfortable. The location is great--never more than $8-$10 Uber ride to restaurants and bars downtown. The Austin Beer Garden Brewing location that's about a 10 minute walk is a great place to spend an evening. Would definitely stay here again.

Cozy spot near a park

For a couple like us, awaiting the birth of a grandchild at a nearby hospital, this spot was just perfect. We had a park across the street to walk our dog, and the rental is set back a bit off the street with a little yard for us. The space was comfortable and the owners are very responsive to messages sent.
