The hotel was clean and the room as we expected. Check in was great. Breakfast is one of the worst I have had at a hotel since covid. It's all grab and go kind of foods, but some of them tasted expired or had been thawed when the packaging states to keep frozen. We have breakfast in many hotels since covid that put in more effort than this. The location/ area around the hotel is also a little deceiving from the pictures online. If I had time to look into the location more or had driven by before booking, I probably would have gone somewhere else for the price in this area.

Thank you for the 5 star rating, we appreciate your business. I am sorry it was difficult turning left out of our parking lot. The traffic at times is heavy on N. Decatur Rd. next time you visit with us, talk to the front desk and they can advise you how to go right and around the block will bring you back up to the main light headed towards Emory hospital. We look forward to see you again.

I thought the property was tired. It looked old and kind of run down. I thought the price was too high.

The rooms need to be updated. The odd numbered rooms on the third floor smelled like mildew...so badly that we couldn't stay in them. The television never worked. Fortunately, I was there for business purposes and only wanted to check the news at the beginning and end of the day. Had to use my phone to do that. What did I like? The STAFF! The front desk people (especially Letitia) were wonderful. Breakfast was MUCH better than the normal breakfast buffet.

Convenient to Emory University. It would have been nice to have had shuttle service to the nearest MARTA station and the university. That would make the hotel very easy to use for guests coming from the airport and having business at Emory.

Watch out below

We checked in with no issues until we got in the room and noticed that it was a king suite instead of the two queen beds we requested. We bother asking to change because of the sofa bed and we had another room booked so we all fit between the two. Plus the front desk already said they had no vacancies. We went swimming in the indoor pool, which was warm but you could literally see the high amounts of chlorine in the water. We later learned that the extra cloudiness of the water was due to parts of the plaster in the ceiling falling into the pool because a 3 ft piece of plaster fell in while my kids were there. The bathrooms we're clean, but whatever product they use to clean the bathtubs made it super slick and my 1 year old fell twice in the tub and my husband almost fell getting in. In both rooms you could see water damage in the ceilings near the bathtubs. The beds we're clean and comfortable. Breakfast was okay, with a lot ofstore bought and instant options. Nothing really fresh and home cooked. The location felt safe and a Publix was within walking distance. Overall, our stay was okay but we won't be staying there again due to the high costs. I've stayed in hotels for less with better amenities.

Overall 4.5

Pros: Cleanliness and friendly staff. The breakfast bar was very good too.
Cons: The bed mattress could be less firm.
Location: Downtown Decatur, GA, Agnes Scott College, Publix and restaurants within walking distance. Downtown Atlanta.
The staff was very nice and accommodating. The hotel and room were clean and updated. Plenty of bathroom towels and supplies and the fridge was cold. The bed as very firm and springy/bouncy. I'm also a heavier set person so the discomfort to my hips and back may be a little more noticeable for me. Overall, I give this hotel a 4.5
