"Great vacantion..."
I was with my wife for a week and found the hotel very comfortable, the service and the services provided were very good, the breakfast and other meals with plenty of options and excellent quality. The place has a wonderful look and is close to the main attractions to put 40 minutes from Cancun. Despite some criticism I read here, so we were very good and recommend this vacation.

"Awesome Hotel & Resort"
I loved the resort, it's been my second visit at a Dreams resort. Great service and friendly staff. My cousin got married during this trip everything turned out amazing. My only negative about the resort was the road to get there is horrible!! Pothole central and when it rained it was literally like crossing a lake.

Entertainment staff and all staffs and theater shows were great. Hotel ambience was excellent. Great lobby night hang out.The pool was breathtaking and a great place to lounge. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable . We were impressed with the cleanliness. The air conditioning was perfect. We had a garden view and didn't feel we missed out on an ocean view as the breeze was so refreshing. Every staff member treated us with smiles and were always pleasant. The beach was daily cleaned of the seaweed debis. The hotel was surrounded by equal  calibre hotels and made it enjoyable to walk the  beach. We always felt safe and secure.

"Excellent Service"
Outstanding place for a vacation. Service, food, facilities, ammenities, etc. are simply wonderful. The exercise facility is better than any other hotel gym I have ever seen. The SPA and Golf Course are some of the best in the world. However, I must be fair and speak about the areas of concern: 1. It does NOT have a nice beach. You could take the free shuttle for a day to visit the other "sister" resorts where you could enjoy awesome beaches. If you are a beach-every-day-and-all-day type of person, you do not want to stay at the Moon Palace. The pools, bars, and activities are so magnificent that it did not matter to me. 2. There is a limit in terms of the number of points that you could use per activity. At the end of the day, the points awarded are used to "subsidized" the activity so that you do not pay the full price. 3. The "Caporales" restaurant is a disgrace to Mexican food. I was born in Mexico and I can tell you that, if you are looking for Mexican food, you can find much better at "Bugambilias." Overall it is an awesome hotel!

"Honeymoon Bliss"
We stayed here in March 2013 for our Honeymoon. It was an overall fantastic place to stay. The food was incredible, drinks were perfect, service was excellent and resort was beautiful! If there had been a hot tub at the main pool, it would have been AWESOME! The weather was a little on the cold side when we got there, but turned out great by the time we left! We had an in room Jacuzzi tub and it was great! Very relaxing and a great view from our room.  We had a fantastic time on our Honeymoon here and recommend it to others!! We hope to return there for an Anniversary!

"Third visit - Superb resort still, food was lacking this time"
Just returned from our 3rd visit in 3 years to Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso. Don't get me wrong, this hotel is the epitome of luxury and cannot be beat in the Riviera Maya/Cancun area. To make this easier for everyone, I'll list the pros and cons for this visit: PROS: Service was impeccable. Even better than the last two stays. None of the staff ever said "NO" to any request we had. For instance, if a bartender didn't know how to make a drink, they found out and brought it to us. If my wife wanted a special dish that wasn't on the menu, it was prepared for her. If we wanted 10 bottles of water delivered to the room each night, it was done with a smile. The grounds are gorgeous and well manicured as ever. Top shelf liquor was more than abundant and available at all the bars. Star Friends were exceptionally friendly and took time to talk to the guests. We learned a lot about them. Amazingly, Eder remembered our names from our previous two visits. The rooms were immaculate. Maid service and turndown service was incredible. Not a piece of dust could be found anywhere. Overall, the staff was incredibly friendly. Especially Olivia, one of the chefs. She remembered us from previous visits as well. One day, my wife wasn't feeling well and didn't want lunch. Olivia prepared her a bowl of plain white rice with some carrots just so she would eat something. It was such a nice touch. The rest of the staff was always smiling and willing to assist with anything one could possibly need. CONS: The food has gone downhill severely! We were blown away by the food at all 4 restaurants and the buffets during out last visit in September 2011. This time, we were very disappointed and actually lost weight for a 6 day stay at an all-inclusive. The Italian was inedible as everything was cooked in either a cream or butter sauce. The lamb was hard and had no taste. Japanese was dull, with the quality of the sushi tasting somewhat downgraded from our last visit. The Gourmet too was not up to par, especially as this was our favorite the last 2 visits. The french onion soup tasted like bathwater, the lamb again was hard and had no taste. The other dishes our party had were all sent back or not eaten. The breakfast buffet was still pretty good, although they really need to change the options every few days...its the same food over and over. Of all the restaurants, Tony's was the best--with the steaks, scallops, and fish all being cooked perfectly and very tasty. Still, overall, we were very disappointed in the food, and might not come back for a 4th visit because of it. There was more a problem getting lounge chairs by the pool during this visit. After 8am, all the cabanas were taken (with nobody sitting in them, just books reserving them), and after 9am, all the other chairs were taken. The resort really needs to monitor this and remove towels that have not been used after a certain amount of time. Overall, the visit was great and we enjoyed every moment of it. The food was a big disappointment, but we tried to not let it ruin our trip. I would still recommend this resort out of all the other 5 star resorts in Riviera Maya. Hopefully, the resort will invest in better quality food and/or change their menus.

"Beautiful Resort, excellent staff!"
Took my fiance' who had never been to Mexico. I had not stayed at this resort before, but would love to come back again. Resort is beautiful, well kept, and the staff is more than willing to do whatever it takes to make you comfortable. The bed was a bit hard for me, and so we mentioned it at the front desk. About 20 minutes later there was a knock at the door and the housekeeper came in to place a padded topper on the bed. We were very surprised, but then about 20 minutes after that we received a call from the front desk asking if the padded topper had been put on, and if that didn't help to let them know and they would see what else they could do. The choices for dinner were Italian, Indian, Asian, French, Mexican and what they called the Lobster House, so having a variety of good food was never a problem. They had a different type of show every night starting at 9pm, and they were all very entertaining. And during the afternoons and evenings before the shows there were a variety of different bands playing around the resort. The staff made you feel welcome, like they already knew you and never acted as if you were an inconvenience to them. Wonderful resort, and we will go again.
