Is this really a rental?
The home was in a beautiful neighborhood. However, it was more like Great Grandma’s home that no one had lived in for a very time than a glamorous mid-century gem. I’ve never seen so many personal items in a rental. Although it had been cleaned, there was caked dust all over (i.e. under the tv, under the sofa and beds, on the bottom shelves of each bookshelf etc.) leaving a musty smell. The bed in the master bedroom was on wheels and slid all over the room all night. There were various blankets covering the sofa that we couldn’t tell if they were clean. Finally, communication with the host is the motivation for leaving this review. She asked us to leave the driveway clear between 3pm to 5pm on Sunday so she could get a car out of the garage. I complied even though it meant leaving all 4 of our cars parked on the street until we got home from our event at 12am AND she never picked up the car. The host got a notice from VRBO of a possible event /party at the home (which was completely not true) and warned me that the chief of police lives in the cul de sac and that it’s a quiet neighborhood where doctors and lawyers live—I did not respond to her message. It felt like a threat and all I wanted was a quiet, stress-free weekend. I would not go back to this rental.
