First time staying here and so glad we did. For us it was a staycation away from the kids. Customer service was above par. Room was amazing and the amenities were better than most. Will definitely be back.

From the moment I stepped through the doors of the Kempton Hotel in Sacramento, I felt like I’d stumbled onto a hidden gem. Check-in was smooth and genuinely welcoming—the front desk staff had that rare mix of professionalism and warmth that instantly puts you at ease after a long trip. They didn’t just hand over my key; they offered recommendations, asked about my preferences, and made sure I knew they were available for anything I might need.It was clear the hospitality here runs deep. Every staff member I encountered, from the bellhop to housekeeping, greeted me with a smile and remembered little details from previous conversations. It’s a small thing, but it makes you feel at home, not just like another guest passing through.The highlight, though, was the in-room dining. I ordered dinner after a packed day, and it arrived quickly—beautifully plated and piping hot. The staff member who delivered it was upbeat, courteous, and made sure everything was just right. The food itself was restaurant-quality: fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Even the little touches, like a handwritten note on my dessert plate, showed the team goes above and beyond.By the time I checked out, I genuinely didn’t want to leave. The place was nice and clean and looked modern. The room was amazing and all was quiet. Hotel is conveniently located at DOCO. So you can just walk out and enjoy the area. I would suggest to find another source of parking or self park under the garage. It’s cheaper compared to paying $45 a night.

This hotel is absolutely terrible. The dogs are so loud that I couldn’t sleep at night — it’s the worst experience. I have no idea why this place calls itself a “relaxing resort.” There is nothing relaxing about it. The service is poor, and they even charge for Wi-Fi. I strongly recommend not staying here.
