Do not recommend a stay
I requested numerous time for a call from Julie and did not received a call - this property was not what was presented on VRBO and the management company did not seem to care. The property did not have a fitness center even though listed as an amenity. Nothing was provided even though the bathroom photo shows several tubes of shampoo, soap, etc. The unit is in disrepair with damaged walls, baseboards, corners, missing paint, damaged light plates, numerous plugs are loose and won’t hold a plug, the toilet was incorrectly set when installed and is not stable which was a safety concern. The towels were old and stained. The room smelled musty and wet which concerned me for mold. The room was not properly cleaned and disinfected with a visible dirt, dust, the coffee maker had old grounds left in the filter, and the patio was dirty with sand and old food crumbs and cigarette butts. The booking charges a large cleaning fee and $150 deposit for damage and the unit clearly has not been maintained. We were beyond disappointed in this rental. We travel regularly and have never been this shocked at the condition of a property and the lack of customer service and attention to concerns. This property is right in the center of the action in Myrtle Beach and can be loud at times. After two nights and numerous texts, emails, and a call with Julie's assistant, we were moved to another unit for our final two nights. The second unit was clean and in a better location.
