This is truly a hotel as it is meant to be. A glamorous lobby with piano music, oversized rooms and a full staff including Bellmen and in-room dining. The staff is happy and gracious in all areas, including a better than average and convenient breakfast buffet. The location is perfect for shopping and dining within walking distance. We'll be back.

The staff were very accommodating and the room was lovely. HOWEVER, as in so many hotels, the lighting is more decorative than functional. The closets are the size of a postage stamp and the bathroom is barely big enough to turn around in. It is an old, historic hotel, and it’s possible that city codes prevent modernization. There are many other hotels in that location where you would probably get more bang for your buck.

Room wasn’t clean it was a whole nail wrapped in my sheet. We were on the 9th floor and I could hear all the car noises, windows are definitely thin. I wasn’t reminded or talked about the breakfast so I didn’t take advance of that either.

Staff was helpful, polite and courteous, the hotel entrance looks stunning, reminiscent to the old world, but the room we received showed the age of the hotel (102 years old !) It was definitely not a room in a 4* hotel. It looked run down, used and smelly. The bathroom was so small that a toilet flush box could not even fit in there. It was a big disappointment. Maybe a 3 star or less.
