Gorgeous hotel with street access to everything we needed. Room was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Bathroom was tiny, but clean. It is a 100 year old historic property, so what else would I expect. The lobby is grand! Front desk personnel were great as well! We will be staying here next year for the Bridge run. Thank you so much!

I love the fact that this property was walkable to many restaurants and shops. It was also close to the local free bus service that quickly took us to the main attractions in the area. We might have walked to some, but one of us was in a walking boot, so having the free bus service was a huge bonus. The property was older, but that's part of the charm going to a city like Charleston. The hotel restaurant, Swamp Fox, was fantastic and the staff at the hotel and restaurant were all super friendly. The only drawbacks were the very tiny elevator leading from the valet/drop off area to the lobby for check in and the odd bathroom setup. Since it's an older hotel, the bathrooms were off; there wasn't much counterspace, our friend's room had two odd-shaped bathrooms and the shower heads were very low, which was not fun for one of the guys in our group who is 6.4. At the end of the day, those are just minor items and would not deter me from staying there again.

Classic one hundred year old property with plenty of Southern charm. Beautiful lobby, friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Excellent location, convenient to shopping, dining and major attractions. I would definitely stay here again.
