Reservation cancelled and only confirmed on arrival. Hotel overbooked and didn’t have the decency to let its customers know in advance. Reception shared other customers had the same experience on the same day

Despite receiving a confirmation email and message from the hotel of my reservation, I was told my reservation was not in their system upon arrival and that they likely did not have a room for me as they were sold out. After a few awkward minutes, the hotel disclosed that their system was overbooking and they did not know why. They finally found a cancelled room for me to stay in. Disorganized and would not go back.

Front desk claimed that no rooms were ready for check in until 4 p.m., so there was a huge line for check in from 4-5. Very inefficient. The hotel does not have heat. My room was 68 degrees at night. I thought I had turned on the heat and went to sleep. I woke up and the room was 56 degrees.

We stayed 4 nights over New Year’s 2025. The property was well appointed, clean, excellent cafe, and located perfectly for access to everything on South Beach. Unfortunately I received a notification from Expedia to “ask” the front desk about a complimentary VIP bottle of my choice - I didn’t like that I had to ask for this perk. After receiving the VIP white wine and drinking at the pool, we decided to bring the remainder of the bottle to the cafe and finish the evening with dessert. The manager of the cafe approached us about bringing in ‘outside’ drinks - we explained that it was from the hotel. Then the hotel manager also approached our table about our hotel wine not being allowed in the (hotel) cafe, as they were two separate entities - unbeknownst to us. We were quite embarrassed by all the attention in front of a full cafe and passersby’s. Hopefully my next VIP experience will feel a bit more exclusive…

We loved the hotel, we had a great corner room on the 10th floor. Super clean, very comfortable bed. Only thing we didn’t like was they made it seem like it was beach front. It was not, only 1 block from beach, and they have a private section of the beach which was nice. All in all, great stay and excellent staff. Would stay again!
