Lakeside Retreat

This Lakeside Retreat sleeps 4 comfortably and has been completely renovated with all the amenities to have a comfortable getaway along the shores of Lake Erie.
By going down the stone stairway, you have access to the lake itself , actual water level. Although swimming is discouraged , you might want to “cast a line “. Please no rock climbing!
You can enjoy watching fun lake activities from any of the three lake bank levels. The retreat’s lakeside bedroom opens onto the covered balcony above the covered patio. The Lorain Lighthouse is within sight, along with majestic sunsets, intriguing lake wildlife, and other marvels of Mother Nature. The Retreat’s large windows allow viewing from inside, as well. There is a gas fueled fire pit for your evening gathering as you wind down your day. Boat charters, jet skis, and kayak rentals are nearby. Summer concerts at Black River Landing just .6 mile away. Cedar Point and downtown Cleveland are only a 45 minute drive.

Relaxing Weekend
The Lakeside Retreat is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the lake. The house is well stocked and very clean. You have close neighbors but were nice and quiet and we didn’t have any problems. Would definitely recommend!!

Gorgeous lake house and waterfront outdoor space
This 2 bedroom lake house is an absolute gem of a vrbo. The house itself is beautiful and nice, inside and out. All of the furniture, appliances, towels, and textiles looked so new and felt so high-end that it was almost like staying in a luxury resort / designer house. The kitchen has everything you need if you like to cook, like we do. The owners left all sorts or extras that most vrbo's do not, like hand soap in every bathroom, trash bags, and bottled water. The property was well maintained. The waterfront area is really cool, with a yard, a fire table, and 2 large terraces with seating, so lots of options to enjoy the views of the lake and the lighthouse. We had 2 days of lots of rain and high wind, but even then, we enjoyed watching the weather and conditions of the lake change from the cozy warmth of the sitting room that overlooks the yard and lake--and we did this several times while listening to records (yes, they have a record player!)and enjoying our morning coffee, or with a cocktail later in the day. Overall, great place, unique, high-end, and we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend this place!

Great house with a fantastic view!
This house is beautiful, extremely clean, and the attention to detail make it absolutely perfect. In addition, the view of the lake is amazing, and the waterfront sitting area is outstanding. We will definitely be back for another stay.

A long weekend in Lorain OH
This was a great place to stay and experience the eclipse and Lorain, will definitely consider coming back. Was near Cleveland so made a day trip to check out the Art Museum. The property has a great view of the lake.

Immaculate with a Beautiful View
House is newly remodeled and immaculately clean. Well furnished and tastefully decorated. Kitchen and bathrooms are stocked with everything we needed, and more. The view of the lake from the back living area and back bedroom is spectacular. We will be returning to stay here again in the near future. Loved it!

Immaculately cean house on the Lake
Immaculately clean inside and outside. We would have given many more stars if available for cleanliness. The house is like brand new. Plenty of towels throughout the home. The kitchen is more than well stocked with everything you may need or could think of during your visit. The views and sounds of the lake are amazing. George was great to work with and very quick to reply to our questions. We will definitely stay here again when planning our next visit to the Lake.

One of the best short term rentals we’ve stayed
First, the communication with the host(s) was quick and easy. This home is clean as a whistle, and pride in ownership shows in the workmanship of all the upgrades. There’s plenty of room inside and out for a small group. A number of patios, dining areas, sitting areas, and bathrooms puts all you need where you need it. Not only is this house the cleanest home, but the added touches and details provided by the hosts was beyond reproach. They even had band-aids, hydrogen peroxide, and sunscreen! The location was perfect for us. The lake views don’t get much better! The owners suite has a large deck over looking the lake too. Will definitely stay here again.

Outstanding Home and Property
We have rented approximately 8 lakeside homes over the past 5 years. All have their unique layouts and amenities. We are extremely careful when choosing from the numerous selections available through VRBO. This Lakeside Retreat has earned the #1 spot in our selections to date. The owner was available immediately to greet us, as well as tending to any future requests during our stay. The property was newly renovated, fresh, and extremely inviting upon entry. The lake views from inside were breathtaking. The landscaping was awesome. Three tiers of well constructed lakeside patio levels to enjoy. The house itself had an upper and lower deck/patio. The property inside and out was well equipped with daily/weekly necessities, including a fully stocked medicine/first aid cabinet. The fishing was fantastic! Overall, this property exceeded our highest expectations! We shall return for future visits.
