After years of staying at the Edelweiss I can say it is unfortunately going downhill, I am guessing it’s under new ownership? The rooms are still pretty much the same, it was nice to have newer sheets but otherwise still the same old decor. But the little things are what it’s not the same, especially in regards to the breakfast. First off they don’t serve breakfast before 8 AM which shocking especially for a Ski town and in the breakfast area there’s no cream for the coffee other than the powdered crap and I remember they used to have yogurt they don’t have that anymore. The staff is not friendly compared to the old staff and the ramp is falling apart it looks like and they closed it off, isn’t that a violation of the ADA? Always loved staying here, but it’s not what it used to be sadly. Maybe they could make some improvements and turn things around?

We went there on a very cold day and my car’s heater was not working and wanted to take a hot shower to warm up before our event we were going to and we had no hot water and they said the boiler wasn’t working and not getting fixed anytime soon but thank god they had one room left to move into

The room was not the cleanest, the door was unlocked when we got there and had a sticky latch that you had to make sure didn’t stick for it to lock, no hot water for showers, not even a microwave in the room. It’s a good last minute option, but wouldn’t be my first choice ever

The water in the shower could be much better. The shower head was not that great. Even though it was a big bathroom not much water coming out. The spray was kept to a very small area. So it was very cold because your entire body was not staying warm.

This wasn’t about being ideal. This was about being unsafe. The fan in the ceiling of the bathroom was hanging down off the ceiling. It’s partially over the shower. If it fell while one of us was in the shower we would have been electrocuted. We did not use the shower because of this. The heater in the room was also malfunctioning. Not good in February. We stayed one night and will NEVER stay there again.

Yes, the room felt neglected. We had to fix the window that was stock open in zero degrees Fahrenheit. The heat in the room was turned on full to about 85 degrees. There were no cups in the room. The toilet was broken and had to flush the toilet by opening the tank.

Room was clean and neat water supply in the morning went from very low pressure to none at all. The general maintenance around the entire lodge is lacking from siding falling off the buildings. It’s a very cute lodge. It has a lot going for it, but if they don’t get onto the maintenance, it’s gonna be a freaking dive.

We had zero hot water when we arrived. Told the staff, who said they’d be there in two minutes, and didn’t show up. We called them back and they then told us to wait again. They eventually came 25 minutes after the initial phone call and told us the boiler was broken and that there was nothing they could do about it. They did not offer any compensation, even when we asked for a discount. They couldn’t provide us with another room bc they were sold out. We felt unsafe bc they didn’t know what was wrong with the boiler, couldn’t tell us if it was turned off, if it was gas or electric, and didn’t have a carbon monoxide detector. We ended up having to leave at 10:45 at night bc we felt unsafe, didn’t have any hot water for a shower, and the staff couldn’t resolve our concerns. When asked for a refund they refused. Do not stay here.

The hotel room was clean and warm and there was plenty of hot water, but it is beyond dated and needs some updating. The free ‘breakfast’ was awful - basically Froot Loops and individually packaged muffins with bad coffee and tea. Better to walk in town to nicer cafes/restaurants.

It was okay. Great location, friendly staff. It was just a little old and creaky! I think some of the buildings on the property are better than others, hence the widely varying reviews. Contrary to some of the reviews I read, it was well cleaned and sufficient for my stay.
