The water filter in the fitness center was broken along with the ice machine in the main building. I came 20 minutes before check-in and they made me wait until it was the exact time to check in. All in all pretty subpar accommodation that is starting to age. I’m wondering if maybe they are up for sale and that’s why they’re not spending money on updating or fixing things.

When I checked in I did not realize I selected an accessible room. So I was put over the front lobby first room. Room 201. In this room you could hear the people sitting outside, the music outside and I was really trying to relax and rest. I asked to have my room moved and was accommodated. Just a warning if that is the type of room you required the windows and walls are thin and you can hear everything from people’s conversations outside to the music being played in the lobby area. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. The property is nice. Walkable to the restaurant. The weather was decent so lots of people sitting outside near the fireplace. It looks very cozy and comfortable. I did not eat at the restaurant, so I can’t comment on the food or drinks. The vibe was nice as a passer by.

The room was clean though there was a spot in the bathroom by the corner of the shower that was crumbling and looked like there could be some mold. There was no body wash in the shower and there was a strange squeaky sound that kept me up. There was a TV remote that neither myself or the lovely receptionist could figure out how to work, so she got me a normal one. The WIFI was down but that wasn't the hotel's fault. Otherwise, it was OK. We ate at the restaurant, which also was just OK. I had fish and chips and the tartar sauce had dill in it which was almost inedible.

Great Staff, Bed uncomfortable, good breakfast

The staff was amazing, the room could have been cleaned a bit better (pubic hair in the shower and on the toilet, crumbs on the nightstand and the floor by the night stand). The bed was so uncomfortable that I tossed and turned all night and woke up with sore hips. Breakfast was good, they had a variety of cereals, bagels and pastries, hot waffles and Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches.

A great location for parents weekend at SU. The restaurant and shopping center were very convenient. The hotel staff were extremely friendly. The room was not cleaned during our stay though we were given fresh towels.
