I thought I was getting a room with two double beds for three people. Allegria had us down for two people: two beach passes, two keys etc. This might have been the fault of Expedia, who booked the reservation. We could upgrade everything by paying cash, but it would have been nice to have this settled in advance.

Check in is 4pm. I couldn't use my resort pass for beach. I got there late. I was almost run over by a bike near hotel and husband threatened by her boyfriend when I said why are you riding on side walk? My 2nd key card didn't work. 2nd day my room was not cleaned. I called front desk to hear I have to tell them I want my room cleaned since they are over booked. My room was freezing. We kept raising temp and it didn't help. There is a thin blanket on bed. Thank God I had a sweater with me to keep a little warmer. An alarm in a nearby room went off around 830am and woke us up. On checking out I told day manager my concerns. I was told nothing could be done since I booked with expedia. I had no recourse and I was dismissed. The day before I asked for 1pm check out and I was called next day why didn't I check out at 11am? Atleast the night manager was nice and told us we could check out at a later time for $50 fee. This is the 2nd stay there and the 1st exp was not great either.

Great location just on the beach but hotel is a bit tired, limited areas to relax & the lounge they had sounded like an indoor swimming pool. No major issues overall but equally we didn't feel particularly relaxed during our stay. Staff were generally nice & helpful.

Directly on the beach, incredible bartender who stayed open late for us to enjoy a kid-free glass of wine. We did struggle finding later food options open as we had had a late lunch that day. Overall, we had a blast!!

Not what we expected

The room was not as clean as I would have expected. There was almost no shampoo in the dispenser, there was a crack in the tile of the shower floor and the beds were AWFUL. Imagine if you will a bag of lumpy rocks... also check in is at 4pm we were told the pool closes at 5pm but we were charged the ammenity fee. The staff was wonderful however and we enjoyed a good dinner at the hotel's restaurant.

“Cool” spot. Hotel was updated but rundown. Photos of property are not indicative of the property. It’s loud and seems much more like a singles hotel with lots of partying. Loud and crazy. In all the outlets and much less of a family spot.
