Bamboozled

Good: check in was smooth, bell hops were great, room was as advertised BAD: the issue is the pool was closed. I had the room booked since December. I was not given a heads up, by either to hotel or this site (the site was contacted and they told me they had not been told by the hotel) So after driving 5 hours from 3 states away, I had to tell my 5 year old that he would in fact not get to swim in the pool, disappointing him and defeating the main purpose of booking this particular place. The only thing I was offered was a refund, which was using at it was 7pm on the Friday night of Easter weekend, so there were no options that would have worked.

A really great experience! First time in Chicago and the Hilton did not disappoint. Allowed us to check in early and gave us a complimentary room upgrade to the top floor for amazing views of the city. Very attentive staff although we’re not hard to please. Location is within walking distance to shopping but is conveniently located on a “not so busy” street so quiet is an understatement. Gave 4/5 stars only because a few of the light bulbs needed to be changed after our arrival, however the staff was there quickly to fix the issue. Overall, great stay and would certainly return and recommend to others visiting the area!
