Love staying at Freehand Chicago! Perfect location, great food and late night DJ hangs with a cool Photo Booth that is always fun. The staff is awesome. The ONLY issue is the elevators are often out or very very sloooooooow.

Great for the Price

Solid place in the heart of the loop! Staff was friendly and helpful, the bar / lounge was cool, the stairwell's funky art was a nice touch, and my bedroom for four was clean and functional. Can't ask for much more at such a low price!

Hotel had some cool designs but our room was very stuffy and musty. We tried to run the AC but it was not working. Luckily it wasn’t super hot outside but the room need air movement. Location of the hotel was great if you want to be downtown Chicago.

No parking and they dont explain where to park. Only 1 elevator working which added 5 to 10 minutes to get around the hotel. Its inconvenient to take the stairs from the 16th floor when you have a bunch of bags. There was mold and or blood on the curtains in the room. Additionally there was mold in the shower. Its kind of cheap but very dirty and not worth the price

Is a hostile, had a little bit of a funky body odor smell in the hallways. Clean bed, clean room! Nice staff and great area. Unfortunately they were down to one elevator and it was a headache getting up out of the room.

Amazing Hostel and great prices for it being in the heart of downtown. Highly recommend, staff is so friendly and welcoming. There was some staining on the curtains and a couple more stains on the furniture but other than that i have no complaints!
