This hotel was perfect for a few days in Chicago! The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the room was far from the street so so quiet. The cafe down stairs was a fun place to relax. Loved my stay!

Cramped room. Super slow elevators. No mini fridge. No complimentary water ($8 a bottle!). And I am convinced the ringworm I got was from the room I was staying in. On the plus side, the location was pretty central.

I completely recommend Freehand Chicago particularly if you are traveling with a group. I brought a group of college students to Chicago and the rooms were perfect! The students had their own bunk with a light and outlets for their electronics. The rooms were very clean and you can't beat the location! The staff was courteous and very efficient. I will definitely be bringing students back to this hotel!!!!

Close to shops and restaurants and parking

The hotel was decorated very nicely and the staff were nice. However the room was smaller than expected and bed was very uncomfortable. Also we couldn’t control the temperature of our room. The location was excellent!

Great Place

Pros: Location
Location: Everything is within walking distance
I've stayed here before and will in the future. Great location, it was quiet even though I was in a dorm room. Everyone in the room was friendly.

Good hotel close to a lot of attractions

Freehand Chicago has a friendly atmosphere and a cool vibe...the room was nice, but kind of small. Still very clean and the staff was great! Would recommend them to a fellow traveler.

Within walking distance of miracle Mile.

We had a quad room, and really liked it. Room was very clean and comfortable. Single bed were quite comfortable. Room was on the street, so sirens were often heard, consider ear plugs. Walked to everything we wanted to see/do.

Affordable boutique hotel, good location

Perfectly situated between Millenium Park and Gold Coast, close to Michigan Ave. unique, eclectic design inside. Very comfortable atmosphere. This hotel brings thoughts of San Francisco to mind (free spirits and a lot of traveling youth). The shower had the world's smallest soap shelf...only drawback!
