Some kinks to work out

Upon arrival to our place, it looked mostly clean. However, the air conditioning vents in both the living room and bedroom were filthy. The weather was nice so we didn't have to use central air. Also, the sheets on the king size bed would stay on. They were too small so one corner always came off during sleep. Finally, I texted to make sure that I would be able to leave my luggage before I checked out. I needed to leave my luggage around 9:30am. When I went to leave my luggage, the desk had a sign that it would open at 11:00. Thankfully, someone from the apartment's front desk was willing to take my luggage. But the communication seemed off. However, the apartment was spacious, in a great location and had a wonderful little balcony!

The place was excellent! It has everything you need to cook, do laundry, and relax — it’s truly amazing! My only issue was that the curtain on the balcony window next to the bed lets in a lot of light, even when fully closed, so it was impossible to sleep in. That’s the only thing I’d improve: replacing the curtains with blackout ones.

The water pressure in the shower could be better, and the shower head needs to be replaced soon. The bathroom is cleaned with vinegar and the smell was quite strong during our stay. The wc needs to be re-tightened to the floor, it moves while in use. Location is perfect, and the place is sparkling clean.

It's a 4.5 from me. Lovely apartment, just a couple of minor negative things. Pros: large apartment, with great skyline views, nice balcony for sitting out and enjoying the sunset. Theirs also a fitness centre available to use which is pretty good. Bed was comfy, and there were even some nice welcome gifts. You are very walkable distance from magnificent mile and lots of restaurants and shops. But at the same time I didn't find the apartment noisy and slept well. Negatives: The blinds are poor and cheap and let in light. I used a sleeping mask in the bedroom. I had issues witht the toaster and kettle not working. Now on the plus side the kasa team were very quick to reply to attempt to get it fixed. However...they seemed to ok it for the maintenance team to "visit at any time" which I had not given approval too. I came back and found a maintenance person in the apartment. Whilst I was thankful for the urgency to get things fixed, I had not given approval for someone to just be in my apartment at any time. I'd say that was a communication. I will say they were very apologetic after I complained. It took 3 attempts to try and fix it. on the 3rd time they again sent a maintenance person round when I had not agreed a time as I could see evidence that someone had used the fuse box. I'm not suggesting a worker would steal something, but I do think people should just turn up without a fixed time. The website also mentions a pool, which you don't have access to.

I didn’t go to the gym. My understanding was that it was not accessible for the guests, only residents. My only disappointment was the coffee. I couldn’t drink the horrible coffee bags provided by the hotel. I wished they had a regular coffee pot.

We stayed here August 27th to September 3rd in an 1 bed studio and honestly cannot fault the property and how it is managed. Great convenience to have a full kitchen including any utensils you could need and a washer+dryer in the apartment. Great location, close to many of the restaurants on our list. Whole Foods a short walk away on the next block over. The balcony was a bonus as most places we looked at didn’t have one! Would definitely recommend
