The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and quiet. Very close to public transportation and one block away from Millennium Park.

The room was just a bit smaller than I had expected. Sounds like we were a week early before everything opened back up in the hotel. There was no bar nor dinner restaurant.

Long story short, If you can stay elsewhere, please do. When we arrived to the hotel, the doors were locked and we had to call the hotel to let them know that we had arrived. The hotel had a deadbolt lock and we had to call the front desk and or ring the doorbell every time for entry. Every time. Mind you, during our stay in Chicago, we went to two other hotels and neither of them locked their doors for the WHOLE entire day.The check-in staff (who was the manager) was not friendly and made it seem as if her allowing us to check-in hour early was doing us a favor even though I called beforehand a day before to make sure it was okay that we had an early check-in. They did not inform us during check-in that there would be NO breakfast options (not even in a paper bag that we could take up to our room), no housekeeping during our entire stay and even though we were one of the only guests at the property, no one gave us a courtesy call to see if we needed anything, which was a huge disappointment. To add fuel to the fire, we needed ice so, I called the front desk to see if any levels had an ice machine and was told that “this is a luxury hotel, we don’t have ice machines and we get two bags of ice delivered to the hotel so, if you want ice “YOU CAN COME DOWN TO GET IT”. If it is a “luxury” hotel wouldn’t you bring the ice to your guest or at least leave the ice at the room door? There is nothing luxury about this hotel and nothing worth coming back and staying at. STAY ELSEWHERE

Everything was fine until they told me of the $25.00 (plus tax) charge for using soap, towels, wi-fi, etc. I've spent a lot of time in various hotels around the city of Chicago and not one of them charged additionally for amenities. Smart business people have this already added into the room charge.

Hotel was clean except for the women’s bathroom in the main lobby. Only stayed one night but the evening of the first night and the morning of our departure there was a horrible stench in the lobby (maybe a back up with plumbing). It was inconvenient to have to ask for ice. I was unhappy that there was an additional $27 destination fee that I don’t remember being disclosed on Travelocity. Loved the lobby and bar but unsure as to why there was no bartender and the lobby was empty with lights dimmed.
