Interesting combination of classic and modern. Quiet in terms of noise from other rooms, but very susceptible to street noise (which, in Chicago, is all night long). Finding the room is a bit like investigating a rabbit warren. Bathroom quite large, but no tub, only shower--plenty of warm water available, but never really hot. Keurig in room, which is very nice; not enough K-cups and creamer, though, and no spoons or stir sticks. In-room climate control works well. Bed comfortable, plenty of pillows.

Lobby on 9th floor, room on 7th floor. Generally a 15-30 minute wait to catch the elevator. They were most of the time out of service. 1 employee took us up the staff elevator which only went to the 9th floor and we had to walk stairs down to 7th floor. Complained to “manager” and he said he would look into situation and get back with me in 5 minutes that was 3:00 Saturday afternoon noon, still have not heard from “manager”. 2nd day we had no wash clothes. And no toilet paper. Missed the clause that some amenities where bring your own.

Great location, which is why I chose it. I was traveling for business and it had the best price for the location I needed to be in but it was nothing special considering the price per night. Other hotels have much more to offer in terms of amenities, restaurants/bars, and overall aesthetic and atmosphere. Staff was friendly.
