Almost perfect

The hotel was almost perfect. It was clean, most staff were courteous, bed and room were clean and comfy, the in-hotel food store was very convenient, I loved the express checkout. The only two minor issues were that the concierge desk always had a line which I didn't want to wait in for the quick questions I had, and the one time I did call about a settings issue on my TV, the person acted condescending to me ("did you try pressing menu?") and I was not able to get the issue resolved.

Wonderful Hotel

This hotel was located 3 block from millennium park. It was a beautiful hotel. The room was clean, staff were nice, and quiet. The hotel staff called me by name when I called for additional linen. The hotel had a nice bar as well as a 24 hr market when was nice. And lastly my husband and I could walk or take a cab to everything downtown in less that 10 dollars. We decided that when we comeback we are going to stay at this hotel again. I will be a repeat customer.

Affordable hotel, near to mag. mile

Pros: Close proximity to lots of shopping, tourist attractions and restaurants
Cons: Lighting in bathroom and appearance of room furniture
This hotel was pretty good for the price, but as other reviews mentioned, much of the furniture was dinged and looked to be in need of repair. We stayed on the 6th floor, and the trains do get noisy at night, so be sure to ask for a higher floor if possible.

Nice hotel

We had a good experience at the hotel. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. It was a nice room, they handled a very large meeting well. Unfortunately on arrival to Chicago we used the Blue line for the train from O'Hare to downtown. It was an easy process and we were prepared with light luggage however we were unprepared for the pickpocket that acquired my wallet with all of my ID, credit cards and cash. That was a serious mistake on my part and it happened when the thieves created a distraction that preys upon the kindness of strangers. If you are in Chicago be alert for the risk of pickpockets at all times, this group was fast. My losses were significant and it made a rough start to what otherwise was a good trip. I did meet some kind people at the hotel as I worked to resolve the problem.

Multiple stays at this location, highly recommend.

Pros: Great view of the city and lots of options for food and drink in the hotel.
Cons: Our room didn't get very warm. It was fine for me, but my wife would have liked if it would have warmed above 68 degrees.
Location: Millennium park, Navy Pier, Michigan Ave with all its great shopping and so many restaurants and bars are in walking distance!
This is the second time we've stayed at this Hyatt. We highly recommend this spot.We watched the river run green from our room (due to single digit windchill!). Walked to the bean (my daughter's words) and to the Navy Pier.

Nicely situated between Magn. Mile & Loop

The Regency is a nice hotel which is nicely situated within walking distance to the Magnificent Mile and the Loop (closer to the Mile). The Big Bar is a nice place to get a drink and something quick to eat. Stetson's Restaurant serves good food & sushi. There is a little "market" that is open almost 24 hrs/day to pick up things.

Not satisfied with the room

I made reservation online through travelocity and I chose this hotel so that I could have good view on the river. I arrived very early at hotel and asked receptionist if I could check in sooner. She said No and wait until 3pm. I went to aquarium and came back to hotel around 3:10pm. Staff who was helping me told that all river view was already checked in and there was no room available for river view, and she only saw city view rooms were available. I and my friend told her that we paid extra money to reserve river view room and we really want river view. She changed her words saying there was one river view room left and it was around 5th floor. I paid extra money to get better view room and she gave me 5th floor? I could not see any river from my room and not very happy at all. I am not going back to this hotel again. I can go different hotel on next visit.
