The living room and kitchen look out on Cannon street, one of Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood’s most vibrant streets, home to many popular stores and restaurants all just steps from the rental.
The Space: This one-of-a-kind apartment, offers a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room, and spectacular 2nd story porch views. Located on the 2nd story, the apartment is accessible by spiral stairs on back of the house. One can enjoy both front and back porch seating. It’s luxuriously outfitted with custom furnishing and a full-size copper bathtub. The 1 bedroom/1 bath suite is perfect for a couple or small family.

The Neighborhood: The Cannonborough neighborhood is an inviting downtown area that blends classic architecture with a modern lifestyle. From here, it's easy walking distance to historic locations and a selection of delicious restaurants, cafes, and bakeries.
Visitors can enjoy convenient dining options directly next door At Southbound and Ladles Soup/ Across from the apartment; indulge in the city’s most charming bakery – Sugar Bakeshop - located just across the street from the rental; and gab your morning coffee and bagels just down the street at Holey City Bagels! Many of the city’s most notable eateries are located in the Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood, or an easy walk from the rental. O-Ku, Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit, Chez Nous, The Darling Oyster Bar, The Grocery, Indaco, The Ordinary, Xiao Bao Biscuit, Warehouse, Chubby Fish.
Getting Around: The location is ideally suited for walking, but Uber and Lyft are also readily available.
Other Things to Note: We are three blocks from King Street. Cannon Street dead ends into King where you would be right in the middle of all the activity - many nice restaurants such as The Darling, the Grocery, Ordinary, Endaco, good places to have drinks like Stars, the Belmont, Midtown, Prohibition. There are also great niche restaurants closer than King Street. Pick the experience - fine dining to relaxed outdoor dining, it is here. You could look up Hominy Grill, Chez Nous, Trattoria Lucca, Fuel, Goulette. Since Cannon Street (and Spring Street) are the only legal areas in the city to host short term rentals in Charleston, you will be in good company here.
If you want the full Charleston experience you need to sign up for a walking tour or carriage tour, a must. If you have sea legs and are aiming for total immersion into history, the steamboat runs to Ft. Sumter several times daily so that you can land your two feet exactly where the Civil War started.

Great neighborhood. Very comfortable apartment. Fully stocked kitchen. Only drag was no table for dinners just a crescent shaped glass bar around a chimney in the kitchen. And the porch space is shared with those in the apartment next door. Only divided by plants- so no privacy on the deck. We couldn’t use the deck since the people next door had a loud child and were loud themselves. So not a good setup to read a book or relax with a drink. Only one closet on ground floor the bedrooms didn’t have closets . Only shelves, which isn’t great when you have suits and dresses. Otherwise a fantastic stay.
