Charming Hotel

This hotel was lovely. The ambience was old school charming, the staff was extraordinarily helpful (Ben was fantastic), rooms were clean and well maintained, walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Very Nice!

Very nice inn. Close to the restaurants and busy areas. The exposed brick and beams, artwork and antique furnishings added to the ambiance. We would definitely go back again.

Wonderful stay!

Pros: The staff was the best. Our room was a generous size. The price was right. The location perfect.
Cons: One minor suggestion is to have a better lit entrance doorway in the evening.
Location: Everything to do is near the hotel. They are well stocked with brochures and informed staff to help with ALL the things there are to do.
Because the Inn only has 27 rooms there is never a wait, for help, for breakfast, for directions, for anything. The staff couldnt do enough to recommend sights and help us get there!. We took this vacation without a single plan and we were going from sun up to after sundown at he recommendations of staff - who promptly booked each tour and event for us. The rooms were reasonably priced and very clean. Everything was within walking distance or free bus. The breakfast is a little more then Continental style. Offering 2 hot items each day plus the usual. There is a simple wine and cheese reception each afternoon. And dont miss the roof top lounge area.

Excellent location near downtown historic sites an

Pros: Great location with a nice historic touch. The friendliness of staff and overall cleanliness and attenetion to detail was great.
Cons: Air conditioning and heating system was a bit loud. TV location is awkward (on the wall) far from the bed.
Location: Easy to walk to eating establishments, historical tours and areas and interesting shopping.
Hotel is in a very good area to see historic sites and catch the horse drawn carts or minibus tours. Great staff both upon arriving and throughout the stay. Very helpful on giving directions and helpful advice about nearby restaurants directions to historic areas, tours and shopping. Facility is unique with interesting decor and a historic past which has been well maintained. It is very clean and rooms are spacious. Beds are good (a little on the soft side). Pillows are a little soft. First floor rooms along the street were a little noisy but seemed to be OK later in the evening. The air heating and cooling system is a bit loud. Shower strength and hot water availability were very good. Linens and towels were very good. Check in and check out were seamless. Breakfast buffet was good, fresh and well stocked. Juices, coffee and tea throughout the day are a nice touch. Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies are always available. The parking fee is $20.00 which worked for us as we parked the car for the entire visit and walked everywhere anyway. Overall an excellent experience.
