Recently my husband and I stayed at this property (April 2025). We decided to upgrade to a 2-story rooftop terrace suite. Upon arrival we headed up to the rooftop to check out the plunge pool. Besides the empty coke bottle that was left at the side of the pool, we immediately noticed that the water in the pool looked stagnant. We tried turning the pool on. The way it works is once on, there are 2 pipes that gush out water continuously in order to give a waterfall effect. this did not occur. Instead of gushing water, it was a dribble at best. We immediately informed maintenance and the front desk who advised someone would look at it the next morning. The next day we enjoyed our day by the beach and went back to the room in the afternoon to enjoy our rooftop pool. It was sill not working! We called maintenance again and were advised someone would be sent right away. We waited in our room for 3 hours, no one showed up. The next morning we went to the front desk and spoke with a manager who advised he would personally see to it. After breakfast we spoke with him again and he advised it was now working. That afternoon we went back to the room, it was not working. At that point management did have maintenance come to the room while we were there and they were able to fix it. Finally we thought we could enjoy what we paid for! The fix was very temporary, as the next day it did not work again. Basically we paid extra for a room we couldn't use. And we found a cockroach in our room!

The VIP benefit was non-existent, however the hotel was very nice and the staff generally helpful with a few exceptions here and there. Tipping seems to make a huge difference in the quality of service and has become expected, which is a bit annoying when you’ve already paid so much upfront. There were some moments when we felt palpable contempt from our servers at the restaurants and that is the first time I’ve ever experienced this in Mexico. Also the perks of the Excellence Club have gone way down (no more free alcohol upgrades in the room for exemple, also no more getting a beach bed ready for us, etc.) The quality of the food at the buffet was incredible. I loved going there for breakfast. The beach has a seaweed problem but we didn’t spend too much time there anyway. The pools and grounds are exceptionally well maintained, which makes for a very pleasant and relaxing time.

Our stay was pleasant and relaxing. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and ready to answer any questions we had. If you’re looking to explore Cancun, you will need to use a taxi but the resort was great and made arrangements for us. We felt safe while in the resort, we arrived in the middle of the week and not much entertainment was planned in the evenings other than karaoke but Friday’s Mexico night was fun!

First time at an all inclusive resort and also first time in mexico. Friendly service, fun activities sprinkled throughout each day, variety of restaurants, and a good mix of lively and relaxing activities. The main pool was great to gather at and mingle with others, grab a drink at the swim up bar , and parricipate in activities like volleyball, cocktail lessons, bingo, and souvenir making. If we wanted a quieter more relaxing day, the pool by revive bar was perfect! There is also an accessibility pool which actually stays a bit warmer in the evenings compared to the others- it has a ramp as well and is more shallow. On busier days, it was still possible to find a lounge chair at one of the pools. The resort keeps pool floaties in sheds near the towel and bathroom areas at each pool-people tend to take them early morning and hold onto them all day. First come, first serve. The beach was great - lots of seating available even on busiest day that we were there! The resort does maintain the shoreline by removing the sargassum periodicially and if you're lucky, you may be able to venture into the ocean during an afternoon but mostly, the entire region (gulf of mexico, including florida beaches) have a lot of sargassum; it's inevitable. In the evenings there were quiz activities at the theatre, which then led into a musical performance , and then a different show each night. Laid back atmosphere, yet very fun! Overall we had a good stay! Our swim up pool room was very, very smelly- like musty and made our clothes smell, even after we washed them when we got home! When we tried to reach someone to resolve the issue we reached a staff member twice (over the phone) but got disconnected both times. No one ever resolved the issue. The other part that we were not a fan of was that we paid tons of money to be on this resort but were turned away from the French themed restaurant because my fiancé did not have pants with on this trip- apparently that's their dress code. He did have dress shorts and a dress shirt on. Doesn't seem like the best policy for paying customers/guests. The last complaint is the OVERWHELMING smell of the air freshener in the main lobby area (which was unavoidable). The smell was literally nauseating :-(. Turn it down or off please! On a positive note, almost every single staff person we encountered on the trip were AMAZING! So kind and always smiling. The food was also very good!

We had a fabulous stay here. Food was great. Pools were great. We had the Excellence Club upgrade and were happy with the benefits. We enjoyed sitting in the peace and quiet on the far side of the resort by the lazy river. If you are looking for a more energetic atmosphere, that is available at the main pool as well. Only downside was the excess seaweed, but that is nothing against the resort. The entire stretch of beach had the same issue and it is impossible to stay on top of.

The resort was excellent. The food, drinks, property, etc was all amazing. The only issue we came across was that we were a girls group of 5 on a girls 50th bday trip. Most restaurants were more geared towards 2's/couples. One of the restaurants wouln't sit the 5 of us together, if we wanted to eat there then we would have had to have split up. And at the lobster house 3 of us wanted to eat breakfast on the little balconies over the water, but they wouldn't let us . They said it was only for 2 when there was so much room for 3 and in fact 4. It was a bit of situation and I escalated it. We were not going to have one girl sit by herself. After we said we would pay them some money they eventually let us.
