This property is in the only unsafe neighborhood in Bismarck, North Dakota. There are much better areas on the north side of town or downtown or really any other direction other than the south part of the city where this Fairfield is located. When we checked into the room, it smelled like mold and I don’t mean kind of smelled like it. It knocked you off your feet and so I went down to the front desk and they told me they did not have any other rooms with two queens and I told them there is no way we are staying here. I had booked through Expedia and Expedia contacted the hotel and wanted to make sure that we would not be charged if we checked out immediately and found another hotel. We were told that we could and now I’m seeing that they charged $520 on my account.
Bismarck is a wonderful city and the other Fairfield on the north side is in a much better part of the city and I have no idea what the rooms are like, but I would think that would be a better choice. Anyway, there are plenty of hotels to choose from, and this would not be One of my first choices.
