messed up reservations

I called the hotel to let them know i would be checking in late, got there at 11:00pm When i had noticed that the single room I cancelled was never cancelled and the reserved double room had been. Obviously when I cancelled the single someone didnot look to see what I wanted this put the hotel and myself in a difficult position. One person slept on a couch. I will not be reserving any room through travelocity any time soon. very disappointing.

Need new AC, linen, carpet, windows, ...

Pros: Hotel workers appear to be family members. They seem working hard.
Cons: Hotel needs professional management.
Location: It's in front of 19th century lighthouse. You can walk to it.
Unfortunately entire nation was covered by the heat wave. cheboygan was no exception. Room was so hot and muggy. AC looked 30 years old or even older. It was underpowered and very noisy. Windows Gould not be shut. They were stuck at halfway down but nobody has closed the windows. It means there's few AC working. Linens are polyester? They are thin and light but uncomfortable to skin. Tub drains slowly.
