First time and great stay. Very nicely decorated and great value and location. Nice fridge with freezer, bed great and ac. Love the ice machine. Only complaint is i sent a few messages to property via app and no replies. Tub drained poorly and needed light bulbs.

This is my second stay at the Monarch Motel. For the price it is a good room. The mattress could be updated and the water had a sulfur smell, but I would stay there again, for sure.

Everything about this place is exceptional! The owner has taken updating, remodeling, decorating to the next level A+++++. She is very friendly and accommodating. This is our 2nd visit in 2 years - and we plan to schedule more time there in the coming years (we have family in Cheboygan that we visit regularly).

The room was attractive and extremely clean and the bed and shower were both excellent. It was a little musty but running the AC took care of it. The only drawback was that the only lock to the room is the one in the doorknob, no bolt or chain, but the neighborhood didn’t feel unsafe so we just set luggage in front of the door. Would definitely stay here again.
