The hotel was under a renovation. Stacks of countertops and mattresses in parking lot. Units next door being demoed. Access doors not working. Room unit door ajar upon arrival. Requested a cancellation for last two nights and never heard back from Expedia. Hotel said I would not be charged for more than the one night. I see full charge in my credit card. Help.

Ourv room had to be switched... the tv didn't work, toilet didn't work, and it had an awful smell in the room. Pool hours are also very strange and need to be mentioned at booking. Our kids were very disappointed at the limited hours

Pleasant surprise!
I needed some time for meditation and reflection, and for that reason this was an excellent experience! I loved my room. There were no interruptions and the scent of the building was truly comforting. The gentleman on the evening shift was very helpful, as was the night and morning staff! And my bathroom looked exactly like the photo online!

Great accomodations but .... wrong rate charged. Not what I signed up for on Hotels.com. Also, door to room was left open on first day of stay and anyone could have entered. Room was not cleaned or restocked daily as in previous stays. I had to call 1-2 times to get results.

The hotel has not been updated.Two lights in the room did not work . The phone in the room was not set working. The room had sofa bed with no blankets or sheets. The place was outdated and dirty. Carpets ripped in rooms and hallways. No breakfast on Saturdays

There's a lot wrong here. We stayed for a group event with students in 2023 and it was fine. A year later there was a lot wrong with the facility - that list follows. BUT, the big thing was our keys didn't work. I walked to the front desk alone and asked for new keys for 4 different room numbers. No ID was checked, no questions asked...just here are 4 new cards. NOT a secure feeling when traveling. Other things wrong: Reservations for 4 double/doubles. One room was a double with a loveseat, so we had to get a roll away. The computers were down delaying check in. We used 4 rooms for our group. None of the refrigerators were plugged in. Several smelled awful. No working TV in one room, no TV at all in another. Room service came but didn't leave any coffee or towels. The comforter in one room was VERY stained. When asked for a replacement, none was available. Several outside locks didn't work. The elevator was out of service.

Stay during renovation
Hotel is in a transition and redoing rooms. A lot of construction, some noise, blew circuit AB’s had no electric to 1/2 of room one day, no refrigerator or microwave. Had to ask AB’s was bright a refrigerator but never delivered a microwave and charged $15 for it. Room keys didn’t work every other day and no I didn’t give them by my phone. Housekeeping was excellent though

Wish it was still a Doubletree property!
Very disappointing stay at this property! From old, soiled and worn furniture in the lobby to piles upon piles of used sheets/towels aligning the hallway to my room. The room had a lumpy comforter on the bed, handles missing in the bathroom and residual urine stains on the toilet bowl seat! The refrigerator and several lights were not plugged in.

Friendly and fast check-in. Clean, comfortable renovated room. Nice pool area with warm water. Close drive to the train that takes you right into NYC and cute little town. It’s the second time I’ve stayed and would return again.

Our check in experience was unacceptable. We booked & paid for a king room with a sofa which Expedia said was available. Took our luggage to our room to find it was a 2 double bed room. Returned to the front desk & they gave us a key for another “king” room. We walked even further, to find ANOTHER 2 double bed room. Went BACK to front desk where they started explaining that the hotel started renovations 3 weeks ago, & that they sent Expedia emails explaining that & that at this time, there would be no king rooms available for guests. We were made unaware of this nor did we receive any email alerts by you or the hotel. We chose Sleepy Hollow for our one year Anniversary. And I always love using Expedia to plan. We were expecting a nice, relaxing overnight stay. We were 2 grown adults crowded on a double bed. Made for a very uncomfortable time. We booked & paid for something we did not receive, and nothing was done for this inconvenience.
