I would not use the parking lot they offer, there were parts of my car stolen and the hotel was as not concerned about it at all

I Won't Be Coming Back!

Pros: Um... Let me see... The room looked stylish and the bed was comfy. Yeah, that's about it.
Cons: Clean that nasty parking garage! Get rid of the chains!!! Beware of the desk chair when leaning back! Touch-up or spruce up hallways and furniture.
Location: Convenient but very touristy location. It's D.C. of course there are a lot of things to do nearby.
Let me begin by saying, I am easy to please and seldom write a poor review. I am in Washington D.C. once or twice a month. I booked the Liaison Capitol Hill DC because my usual hotel (of a similar price) did not have any rooms available. The hotel is looking very worn around the edges. The parking garage, at $50/$59 per night is very dirty, cluttered with random furniture, boxes and equipment, and smelled like a New York City subway on a 100 degree day. There are only two soda machines and one vending machine in the entire hotel. The vending and ice machine are only accessible through an entry with a series of hanging chains that one must navigate for entry. I can't imagine anyone with a cane, walker or wheelchair being able to access these areas on their own. The hallways and furnishings in the public areas show much wear with stained wallpaper, chipped furniture, tape on floors, and artwork that leaves me wondering,"who?" and "why?" The rooms are not very soundproof, kids running up and down the hallways yelling after 10:00 pm, (c'mom parents, have some consideration for other guests) banging on walls, and a fire department next door. If you're looking for a relaxing and peaceful room this is not the place.

Was not the best hotel

I expected this hotel to be nicer. It did not have a mini fridge nor was there a vent in the restroom. I was charged a service fee of over $20 for each night. The hotel is also right next to a fire department so you will hear sirens throughout the night.

Bed bugs

Pros: The location. We had a street facing room and the street noise was not noticeable.
Cons: Staff seems to be all new and or in training. Not very helpful.
Location: The mall is two blocks away. Nice restaurants around, and the train station is very close.
My family wanted a week end in DC so we took two rooms the last week end of April 2017. The Hotel was very crowded, many people in the lobby all the time, with no place to seat, their lobby is tiny. In addition the main revolving door was non functioning. This alone was a terrible hazard, in case of emergency people will have to access through the tiny service door. I am sure the fire marshall would not approve of this door not being available. We wanted to have drinks in the bar but there was one tall table with very uncomfortable chairs, we asked to seat on a dining rooms table but we weren't allowed. We had to sat outside in a terrible heat. I heard people complaining because they were kicked out of the dinning room. They did charge us for room phone (local calls), wifi, and water bottles and we used none. We complained and after a long discussion the manager reversed the charges, I wonder who makes local phone calls these days, we all hace cell phones! The bathroom was very small, ours were double rooms. The rooms were clean and the temperature/humidity control worked fine. Room coffee was bad, but so far I have never been in a hotel with good room coffee. The pool was not open, this was a big disappointment. The worse part is the rash my daughter developed in several parts of her body , it looks very much like bedbug bites. See the photo. We did find a bed bug complain from a former passenger years ago. Not recently. This hotel's location is fantastic

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm happy to hear that you found our location to be great. I however truly apologize for all of the inconveniences you did experience during your stay. We can always do something to help mitigate the concerns and develop some action items to help improve overall. The revolving door in our lobby has since been repaired and we have also taken immediate action in regards to any possible pest issue. The room was placed in Out-of-Order and inspected thoroughly by a company who specializes in this area. There was negative activity found for bed bugs in the room. We would be happy to share the report as well, if needed. Please reach out to us directly so that we can offer further assistance with your stay. You may ask to speak with the Director of Rooms, Director of Front Office or Director of Housekeeping for any assistance. We would also love the opportunity to welcome you back and can personally ensure a much better experience. Thanks again and we hope to hear from you soon.

I saw the reviews and I figured it would be a good choice. When we arrived at 9pm, the front desk receptionist was very new in my opinion. When we got checked in our room keys didn't work a total of three different times and we had to go up and down the elevator because nobody was polite enough to come up and see what the issue was. At the end we were given a new room, the room was tucked in a corner and the Ac unit had a squicky noise that wouldn't let us sleep for 4 nights. Management said they couldn't do anything about it. It was very a very disappointing stay and would not recommend the hotel.

Nice hotel, slow housekeeping

Convenient location & nice rooms. Housekeeping didn't show until 3pm - inconvenient & practically useless. Front desk was very nice & comped breakfast. Overall, good stay.
