The Hamilton did their best as they were undergoing a major remodeling but just the same they were very helpful. Room was very nice and comfortable.

Hotel is under construction. Lobby and restaurants are closed. and this is not noted on Travelocity where I made my reservation. The room was far too expensive given that the hotel had no lobby (Under construction, you have to enter the back door and climb back stairs with luggage to get to the temporary check-in station) and no open restaurants (50% off Starbucks is not much consolation). For al of htat room soudl have been $50.night not $250/night.

I traveled to Wash DC several months in advance of my reservation to check out the hotel. I wanted to give my daughter and granddaughter a memorable experience to celebrate my granddaughter's 16th birthday. At that time, the hotel was very pretty and I was excited to book a room. I called a day prior to traveling to make sure everything was in order. When we arrived, I was so disappointed to learn that the hotel lobby and restaurant were under construction. We had to walk down a short alley into a back door and up a very narrow staircase to enter the hotel. No one helped us with our bags. While at the hotel the elevator we were in dropped two floors. Very scary. There were three of us in the room but we only got one washcloth and two towels. We had to ask for additional ones every day. Tea was offered but we got no cups. The bathtub did not drain and the toilet did not flush half the time. There was no restaurant or room service or pay-per-view TV. What a terrible and disappointing experience!

Hotel under renovation. Never mentioned during booking or follow up comms. Makeshift entrance was off alley up flight of stairs. No staff to assist with baggage up stairs at check in, so urber driver helped me. Construction started at6:45 or 7am each morning. Hotel restaurant closed due to construction, no mention of this on booking site. Still have not seen electronic copy of my check out invoice. Registration was very slow. Frustrating experience.

Amazing staff! My cousin with cerebral palsy couldn't get on and off the bed in their handicapped accessible room because it was too high. Two staff members came and disassembled the bedframe, taking it away, and leaving just the boxspring and mattress (beautifully made up) at the perfect height for her! My young cousin, anxious driving downtown in a city, clipped another car while pulling in at the entrance. The staff handled it so graciously, taking care of everyone and everything. True old style customer service - I will always stay here.
