Great hotel

Pros: Nice room, walking distance to food and outings, drive distance to fun and interesting attractions.
My experience at this hotel was great! The lobby is beautiful and big... with a bar area. The elevator was a smooth ride and a little tricky with the key card. But, its a great safety feature. There was construction for renovations going on and the staff made sure to place me in a room as far away from it as possible.. without me asking! That was considerate and I didn't even hear the construction at all throughout my stay. Upon entering my room, I was very happy. I stayed in the standard King. Great size for me and if you plan to have company over. Bonus: the bed is super soft and makes you not want to leave. The hotel area is in walking distance near food places like five guys, subway, Starbucks and driving your practically near everything. The only issue I had that has nothing to do with the hotel was finding street parking but that is typical for downtown DC. However, he hotel do offer valet.

My stay was not fantastic but ok. I was warned of renovations so asked for a room that would be as quiet as possible so i could work during the day. They put me on the second floor so the construction noise was muffled but the street noise was a minor issue. The staff were not very informed. Also, I asked for decaf tea and was told there was none. Later I walked through the lobby and saw a tray of herbal decaf teas. Staff do not know what is available and do not try to find out. Other than that it was an adequate hotel in a great location.

Pros: I stayed in a king suite which afforded ample privacy; hotel very quiet though completely full, the sofa bed quite comfortable. The breakfast buffet g
Cons: The internet service is terrible. The premium upgrade made no appreciable difference.
Location: White House, National Women in the Arts museum ,nationally recognized restaurants and Macy's within walking distance
Located across the street from a metro stop on a line which goes to the Ronald Reagan Airport, surrounded by restaurants and coffee shops and within walking distance to the White House makes this an added value hotel.

Mini vaca

Pros: Friendliness of staff, comfort of room
Location: Many restaurants in the area, nice night life
My friend and I rode the train in to Washington for a bit of sightseeing. The staff at the Hilton Garden Inn could not have been more accommodating. Very professional and pleasant. The room was everything we could ask for. Great experience!

Great location, but housekeeping overlooked MOLD

Pros: Location and staff
Cons: More attention to detail about room cleanliness
Location: Near white house and all the local attractions; lots of cabs, buses, shopping and restaurants within short walking distance.
Staff and location were excellent; but when I turned down the sheets on one of my double beds there was mold. If it hadn't been 11 at night, and if I hadn't had another bed, I would have requested a different room. So I just slept in the second bed, with all my clothes on, and didn't use the blankets. Not really ideal. Front desk staff discounted my room, but really I think it should have been free. Everything else about the hotel was superior, so it's a bummer that this happened.

Good location, nice room

I really enjoyed this hotel! I found the room comfortable, the hotel staff very pleasant and helpful, and the hotel conveniently located. It was also helpful to have a microwave and refrigerator in the room.

The hotel was close to the DC attractions.

Pros: The location.
Location: It is near all the government buildings.
It is a very nice hotel. But they charge nearly $50.00 to park there per night. I recommend it, just make arrangements for parking elsewhere or don't drive.

Pros: The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the fruit infused water and coffee each day!
Cons: Our room/bathroom was smaller than anticipated for a family of 4.
Location: The hotel was in walking distance to several of the museums we visited.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Garden Inn. The only issue we had is the valet only parking. It was a little inconvenient at times. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay there again.

Excellent location near White House and Metro.

Pros: Location, cleanliness, sweet staff.
Cons: Leave our informational notebook in the room.
Location: White House 4 blocks away. Metro station across the street. Smithsonian 6 to 8 blocks away depending on which one visited.
Great experience with one issue...someone kept removing the hotel info notebook from the room. This is very odd.

Nice hotel near center of action in downtown D.C.

Pros: Good gym equipment for work out while on the road.
Location: Within walking distance to White House, Convention Center and nice shopping.
Very comforatble room with easy WiFi access. Gym and pool downstairs.
