2/10 Terrible

I had an absolutely terrible and hostile experience at the Hilton Garden Inn in Washington, DC this past Saturday, and I will never stay at this property again.
Upon entering the hotel late at night, I was searching for my room key in my purse in a dark entryway. Another guest kindly opened the door for us. Instead of handling this professionally, the night staff immediately became aggressive, rude, and accusatory.
A staff member named John said to me, “Do you even stay here? You probably don’t even stay here!” An outrageous and disrespectful accusation toward a paying guest. When I questioned why he would speak to me that way, he condescendingly explained I needed a key card, which I was already retrieving and clearly understood.
The situation escalated further when the second night staff member, Miles, told me, “Yeah, take your ass upstairs!” This language is degrading, hostile, and completely unacceptable, especially directed at a woman by 2 hotel staff.
When I called the front desk twice requesting a manager, one staff member said the manager was unavailable, and the other pretended to be the manager and showed no concern whatsoever.
This experience was intimidating, humiliating, and unacceptable. No guest should be treated this way, ever. Due to this incident, I will not be returning to this property and expect Hilton to address this seriously including refund or compensation for my stay.
Until this behavior is addressed, I cannot recommend this hotel.
