Nice hotel, but the parking fee is ridiculous, $44

Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Parking
Location: Good location, solid food spots in walking distance.
The room was great, but the parking was really pricey $44.00 for one night? I wouldn't recommend staying here if you were taking your car, ended up paying $88 for the 2 nights i stayed.

Convenient to lots of buses and stores

Pros: Location, room, friendly and efficient staff.
Cons: I did see a cotton swab behind the desk--a wee bit more attention to cleaning detail.
Location: In Georgetown, and close to both cheap CVS as well as Starbucks and various reasonable places to eat.
I asked for a room close to the emergency exit (personal quirk) and got exactly what I wanted. The room was very clean and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was sparkling, and so I indulged in a long, hot bubble bath. I decided to check out the tapas bar for dinner, and had a healthy-sized cheese plate and sangria. The meal was very tasty and Marvin the bartender was friendly and had a great sense about when I wanted to chat and when I wanted to quietly enjoy my meal.

Great location.

The Concierge was amazing and is a real asset to the hotel! He made us and all the guests feel very welcomed. He greeted us with umbrellas to use for sightseeing on an early rainy morning and tirelessly helped us all plan our day visiting the city. He always greeted us so warmly. He really seems to love his job and it shows!

Can't Cut It!

Pros: location
Cons: no energy here
With the Fairmont and Park Hyatt across the street and the Ritz Carlton a block away, the Westin is the poor cousin. Restaurants are vacant, room service is poor, internet is awful. This is a Marriott tourist hotel.

The hotel staff was unfriendly, and not helpful

Cons: No free Internet
I stayed at the Westin recently and it was not a pleasant experience. First off, they were incredibly slow checking us in. The room was very hot when we entered it and the air conditioning took a long time to cool the room down. The sheets were poor quality and felt scratchy. We only stayed one night, but I left a pair of expensive sandals in the room. I remembered leaving at the end of the bed, just a few hours after we left. I call immediately, the woman was unfriendly and said she could check, but they probably didn't have them. She called back a few hours later and said their was nothing they could do, they didn't have my shoes. I am 100% positive where I left my shoes and there is no way they could have just disappeared, but no one was willing to look for them. The only person in the whole hotel that was nice was the kind doorman. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

The hotel was overbooked.

My ratings are inaccurate because I didn't actually stay at the Westin Hotel. I was greeted with a "Hello!" and "I'm sorry, we're overbooked." I must admit, I was disappointed. However, the Westin made accommodations at the Fairmont Hotel and covered all costs. It displeased me that I had to walk across the street with luggages, but the Westin supplied me with complimentary valet. They made an unpleasant situation pleasurable.
