Hotel location was great but rooms need renovation

Travelocity messed up! We had no room reservation even after I checked if I need to confirm and was told no, all confirmed. It took over an hour on the phone with travelocity before we could check in. Hotel assistant manager was super helpful in trying to help.

Central to many monumental and historic sites

Pros: The hotel staff was just exemplary. I felt pampered by the room's comfort and the service in the hotel's restaurants.
Location: Museums and the Capital landmarks were nearby, and, if you're into high-end and department store shopping, it's right there.
I really enjoyed the location although it was only for a day. Transportation access to sites and beyond was great not only for taxis and buses but the Metro stop was right there.

Nice hotel with easy access.

Went with wife and 2 teens to see the sights and made an excellent choice with this hotel. I didn't give much thought to transport from Reagan National to the hotel, just assumed we'd take a taxi. Turns out the Metro Blue line has a station 1 block from the hotel. In fact, there's a way to go from metro station to the hotel lobby w/o going on the street at all. The hotel is close to numerous restaurants, tons of shopping, and an easy hike to the Mall and museums. Be aware that you are in a city and get all the noise that includes. Sirens and horn honking are popular activities. Only complaint is that the ice machine on our floor wasn't working. Polite and helpful staff with clean, comfortable rooms.
