Nice Hotel and Staff

I loved the hotel and staff. They offered complimentary wine and coffee daily. The room was comfortable and pretty spacious. Beware-overnight parking is more than fifty dollars a day!

Nice personal hotel

Pros: Nice, clean rooms with charm. Wonderful staff.
Cons: A lot of noise at night from outside the hotel. Sometimes it sounds like construction work and other times, it was people talking in the alley.
Location: Food is great nearby, Near embassies
my wife and I stayed there for 3 nights and enjoyed the hotel, our room and the staff. Close to the Metro and great eateries. Nightly, wine tasting was great to sit and talk with other visitors. Nice touch.

Welcoming & Comfy Stay in DuPont Circle

Pros: High points are comfort and staff with a real eye to the guests. I'd like to single out the front desk, the room service wait staff, & Manny out front
Cons: I can't think of much; after all, nothing is perfect for every single one of us.
Location: I like Kramerbooks and the Women's National Democratic Club.
I really enjoy the spaces in this boutique hotel. From it's quieter location in Embassy Row neighborhood (with restaurants and bookstores) to the lobby gathering space and attractive rooms. People can mingle for morning coffee or early evening wine. The restaurant is very good and room service also! I also love the location for access to metro trains.

It was a nice experience for the most part. The room was very clean and comfortable. I did get an early wakeup call at 5:15 one morning that I was not supposed to get (mine was requested for 7:30). But I know the guy just made a mistake. However could not sleep after that.

Great Neighborhood Location

Pros: Provided a great experience. Staff was warm and welcoming. Loved the coffee service and evening happy hour in the lounge. Room rate good.
Cons: Not much - keep up the service.
Location: About 2 miles from the Convention Center. About 1-2 blocks from a lot of restaurants.
I stayed at the Kimpton Carlyle Hotel while attending a convention. It's a great boutique hotel within a neighborhood. Upon entering the hotel, the hotel staff was friendly, attentive, and quickly helped me get my bags up to my room. While I was checking in, I was invited into the lounge was right off the registration area. It was their 5:00 happy hour and I was immediately invited, welcomed to join and get a drink. The room appeared to have been recently remodeled. It was very nice and clean. I have never paid much attention to the carpet in the room but it had a beautiful design and did not feel like a hotel room carpet. The hotel also had a restaurant that you could eat at the bar or get a table. The burgers are great!

Great Hotel close to DuPont Circle

This hotel is in a great location. Quiet neighborhood. The art work is revolving and awesome. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Tempurpedic mattress. Nice artwork in the rooms too. Nice staff. They have a complimentary wine happy hour each night in the lobby. So when you check in you can grab a glass and bring it up to your room. Will definitely stay here again.

The perfect little hotel

Very nice hotel with friendly and professional staff. I was served an ice cold glass of wine before I was even finished checking in. The staff always knew my name and made me feel like a regular guest. The room was comfortable, clean, and very modern. The bed was very comfortable as well. I would absolutely stay here again. It is the experience that exceeded my expectations and that can be hard to do these days. Five stars for this place!

I love this hotel.

Pros: the staff
Cons: nothing
Location: residential neighborhood
I could live here. The staff is amazing, especially Austin. The residential neighborhood is beautiful. The rooms are so comfortable and homey. About a 10 minute walk to the Metro. There are excellent restaurants a few blocks away on Connecticut Ave. as well as the restaurant right at the hotel. It's simply perfect. Thanks again!!

We Love the Carlyle

Pros: See above.
Cons: Not a thing.
We've been coming to the Carlyle for years and, if possible, it is even nicer now that they're part of the Kimpton Hotel group. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the Dupont Circle location in D.C. is the best. We love the Carlyle!
