Great Place to Stay

Pros: Super friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, good shower, great complimentary breakfast.
Cons: Nothing the hotel could do.. The construction nearby was a little noisy, but nothing that kept us awake at night.
Location: We did not go to many of the places nearby except the metro
My 11 year old daughter and I stayed at this hotel for 4 days over Spring Break and we had a great experience. She was so sad when we had to leave. From the moment we walked into the hotel, we felt welcomed and the staff were so friendly and helpful with directions and advice. They were fantastic! The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We slept so well while we were there. The shower had great water pressure and the room was tidy when we arrived. Each morning we woke up and were provided a full delicious breakfast (eggs, potatoes, sausage, toast, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc). Weekdays breakfast is available from 6am to 9am and on the weekends till 10am. I saw in earlier reviews that some were concerned about the safety of the neighborhood. My daughter and I walked to the metro station down the street in the evening several times and never felt scared or unsafe. It is a transitioning neighborhood and there is a lot of construction and development in the area. The hotel is not in walking distance of the national mall, but it is easy to get to with a short Uber or Lyft ride or taking the Metro which can be accessed within a few blocks of the hotel. Overall, this was a great hotel and I would definitely stay there again when I return to DC.

DC Visit

Pros: Easy access to Metro; Well appointed and comfortable rooms; Free breakfast and 24/7 food/beverages; Fitness center; Professional & friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing!
Location: Located at the NoMa-Galliudet Metro stop on the Red Line. Not much to do nearby, but easy access to Union Station and other sites via the Metro.
The hotel was not in the most commercial area of town, but very close (2 blocks) from a Metro stop. The hotel looked well kept and up-to-date. Rooms were very modern and we had a view of the city through large windows in our room. All amenities were available-ironing board/iron, coffee maker, and in-room safe. Our room had a large sitting area with comfortable couch and an ambient noise generator to cancel outside traffic noise. The hotel has a pool and a reasonable fitness center. A big plus is the free breakfast. Good choices and comfortable seating. Food can be ordered 24/7 from your room. They serve Starbuck's products. And, lunch and dinner is also available and the food is quite good. The restaurant also serves beer, wine, and mixed drinks. The staff are incredible. Very professional, helpful, pleasant, and always willing to address any need. We had a great time.

Parking to expensive; too far to walk to all.

Parking was $40 just to be put on a out door lot next to hotel... It is far to walk anywhere.

nice hotel, fair prices, great breakfast.

Pros: sleeps 4 adults
Cons: sofa bed very uncomfortable
Location: no decent restaurants within walking distance
little far from the National Mall to walk, 8 dollar cab ride to the White House, friendly staff, valet parking 45 dollars a day seems a little much to be next door in a parking lot....but w "welcome to Washington!"

Family Vacation.

Cons: Food menu, and staff that knows the difference between display food and real food. Also bar tenders who know how to make drinks would be nice.
Location: Whitehouse, Capital, etc.
It was close to the capital and other attractions. The overall area was run down. Construction was going on so the pool was only open after construction hours 5pm to 10pm. The bar staff didn't know how to make drinks. Lastly I would double check any food, our daughter ordered cheesecake and was given the wax display ones. Other then those few set backs the hotel was ok.

Nice hotel, great staff, construction around hotel

The staff was wonderful, clean rooms, complementary breakfast good. Construction across the street but didn't impact us. Easy walk to Metro. Wouldn't recommend women or kids walking alone around the hotel neighborhood after dark.

Good location to Union Station

Pros: Nice people and location
Cons: Lots of construction in area which will enhance local amenities.
Location: Other than location to Union Station, the next best things was the local, 1/2 block, to Harris-Teeter, as very nice grocery store.
While the fast food service was good, missed not having a full service restaurant.

Nice

Booking my reservation was very easy & simple. Hotel was nice , fairly new I was told by an employee it's approximately 17 months old, with a new high end development going on on the back side of hotel where valet parking is located . My only issue was I don't recall being informed to the $38.00 charge for valet parking & at times it took quite a bit of time (15-30 minutes) for valet to actually get my car. Hotel is on a major thoroughfare (New York Ave) but I had no issue with that, where others may. Hotel staff was very professional, friendly & informative. Rooms were nice clean & spacious. I would consider stay here again if I'm in the area. If you want breakfast , get there early . Lines were long & slow. I'm quite sure they were booked solid due to the holiday weekend in addition to other events this particular weekend.

Select a Different Location

The neighborhood is unsafe and has a lot of construction around it. Unless you get a great deal, stay somewhere else.

Great hotel location for all the city has to offer

Pros: spacious room
Cons: thicker windows.
This hotel is 2 blocks from the NoMa Gallaudet U metro (Red line) and was convenient to get to the Smithsonians and Capitol Hill area. It was also an easy 20-25 minute walk to K street and plenty of restaurants and shops in the city. The rooms were very spacious and beds were comfortable. They offer complimentary earplugs if that tells you anything. The windows were paper thin (you could feel the breeze if you sleep in the bed closest to the window) and the street noise was very loud...maybe it was better the higher the floor, but we were on the 6th floor and you could hear sirens or loud trucks whizzing by. So if you're a light sleeper you might want to bring some background noise with you.
