"The right place"
This hotel, Arbutus, is idealfor my trips to Victoria. It is just where I need to be when I am there. The great thing about it is that it has a car rental agency at the same location. This means that I can book both without having to go to aanother location. I like the rooms and the nice beds. I am really impressed at how clean it is and easy to access. It is quiet and reasonably priced. Just a great place to stay... Richard Howe

"Fun comfortable hotel in the heart of downtown "
This was a gem of a hotel, in an older building that had been nicely renovated, with a lively brew pub/restaurant on the first floor. We actually stayed here twice, at the beginning and end of a backpacking trip on the West Coast Trail. Rooms were nicely furnished with interesting artwork, had kitchenettes, nice bathrooms. Bed linens were heavenly. Nice plush terry robes. Rooms had small balconies to let in the fresh air, one balcony had two chairs, was big enough to sit out on, and that room also had large windows downstairs and in the loft, looking out over downtown. There were restaurants galore within a block or two. We noticed we were one block over from China Town. We loved eating and drinking beer in the downstairs brew pub, both the beer and food were great. They have a pay washer and dryer on site, which was good when we returned from the backpacking trip. Felt safe, secure here. If I ever return to Victoria I would stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone visiting there.

"Victoria's Buskers Festival"
We went to the festival once before and really enjoyed it. It's a lot of fun roaming the town and being entertained by a variety of performers. We came over on the Blackball Coho ferry from Port Angeles and the Huntington Manor was located just down from the ferry terminal. We were drawn to the Manor by its beautiful Victorian building. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The complimentary breakfast is average. Nothing spectacular, but was appreciated. We stayed in a king room with a balcony which was nice since it was hot and we were able to open the sliding door. It was unusually hot for Victoria during our stay. I am sure they don't normally need air conditioning. There was a floor fan in our room which we kept on the entire stay.

"Beautiful City, Beautiful Hotel"
This Hotel was wonderful. Located in the corner of town, and walking distance from just about everything! We arrived to check in, and they were able to upgrade our Studio suite to a 1 bedroom that overlooked the harbor. Absolutely gorgeous. We even enjoyed the restaurant downstairs. We will be returning again in the future. THANK YOU!

"Three Nights in Victoria"
The hotel is located in an older building. It was satisfactory -- not anything to rave about. Compared to similar rooms on the west coast of the US a little spendy. Each day our room was made up and cleaned. It was comfortable -- the bed was comfortable.
