The front desk staff were efficient and friendly. The property is close to the inner harbour for convenience. The parking lot has parking stalls so small that it is impossible to get in and out of any vehicle that is not miniature! The property itself is very clean but definitely in need of modernization. The room was unbearably hot with no AC to provide relief. Our biggest concern was the very poor quality of the bed mattress. We both had sore backs and an uncomfortable night's rest. The basic room has everything you would expect. It is not a place we will return to

Comfortable

We were comfortable and enjoyed having the kitchenette. There were a few things in need of repair however. The window screen fell off and the floor heater had a piece that was bent and loose. The decor could use a refresh but all in all, I’d stay there again. Great location.

The Royal Scot

The hotel is a little old fashioned and looking dated, comfortable beds and spacious rooms. The restaurant was great for breakfast after a considerable wait time , with lovely staff and huge portions! The indoor pool was a nice addition with the little gym ,games and billiard room . The shop closes early and there is no bar so I’d describe it sleepy ; but good location with a short walk to plenty of activities at the waterfront and to activities. Everyone was very courteous and helpful when asked questions. A pleasant stay

Parked the car then we walked everywhere. Such a convenient central location. 1/2 block to inner harbour sea wall. Great restaurants nearby, Nourish and Floyd’s for breakfast, Aegir for dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful, Jill was great. The hotel does not have AC, so if it’s a hot season, ask for the north side of the building. Fans are in each room which is good. Rooms nicely appointed and comfy beds. We’ve stayed here several years ago and would do so again.

Great hotel! Great location! It is an older hotel but nicely maintained and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We were also traveling with a cargo trailer and they were very accommodating were many other hotels were not able to allow this on the premises. We will definitely be back!

Such a sweet and special spot! The room was clean and had what we needed to cook a few meals. The game room was delightful and our kids enjoyed borrowing a dvd to watch in the rooms. We enjoyed eating on the balcony and the hotel's proximity to so many activities; Parliament was just down the street! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
