Exceptional Service & Memorable Stay!

Our stay at the Empress was absolutely incredible! From the moment we checked in, the service was exceptional. The front desk staff was welcoming and helpful, and the team that brought water, ice, and prepared our room at night went above and beyond. Breakfast was another highlight—our waiter was incredibly kind, and the PNW Eggs Benedict recommendation was spot on! Every detail of our stay was handled with care, making our experience truly memorable. We highly recommend the Empress and can’t wait to return!

A classic hotel that has been so carefully maintained. The integrity of the staff, from check-in, to housekeeping and management is first class. My wife and I have stayed in hotels in 12 countries, and I can honestly say the Fairmont Empress is among the best.

The hotel itself is classic and beautiful. The room was basic, small and smelled a bit musty but absolutely fine for a one night stay. I was surprised by the lack of cleanliness though. The baseboards in the bathroom were filthy, covered in dust hair and mold. I also found a pair of dirty socks in one of the drawers. Based on what i could see, I was very concerned about what else hadn't been cleaned that I couldn't see. Wouldn't stay here again, but glad to have checked it off the bucket list.

Celebrating a birthday, we stayed at the Empress for 3 nights. It was a great experience. The service across the board was fantastic. The food and food service was outstanding and we enjoyed drinks in the evening overlooking the waterfront. The hotel is incredible in design and furnishings. We were so happy that we chose this place and look forward to coming back!
