"Hydrangea House provided a lot of charm and a great location for our stay in Newport. The Winter Garden suite is spacious and quiet located on the third floor. The bed and linens were very comfortable. The huge shower is an experience and the towel warmer was an added treat. The breakfasts were so hearty we didnt need to eat lunch and the cookies were a delicious treat that came with evening turn down service. All the staff were friendly and added to a very pleasant stay. Would stay again."

"Great location and the parking was included which made it a good value, too. It is an old building and the people upstairs were loud so it wasn’t easy to sleep in. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was good. We were able to walk around the area easily from this location. Would recommend it."

"My rating would be 4.5 but not given that option. Best hotel breakfast we have recently had. The eggs actually tasted like eggs. I think Bob is name of man who takes care of breakfast, and is shuttle driver. He was great. He indicated hotel is about to be totally renovated. Staff was all friendly and helpful. Room was clean and quiet. The only disappointment is pool is only open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. When I checked out the pool the following day the water was cloudy. There was definitely a chemical problem so I was unable to swim."
