Asie from this hotel's age, there is nothing charming about it. It is overpriced and at the price they charge lack the amenities and services one would expect. While, the parking is convenient and is on the "main drag"the attention to detail is shocking. Their menu offering is limited and, if it were not in Newport, it would be out of business. The carpeting is old and not fitting with the rest of the hotel. Their staffing levels are inadequate and the menu offerings are poor. In fact, even the menus show a lack of detail. Save your money, go to a Red Roof Inn and take an Uber when needed, you will have a better experience.

This Hotel is great. High end, despite its age. Location is central, making lots of activities walkable. But in/out Valet was available if driving. It is an interesting property. Really enjoyed it and Newport!

It's a nice old hotel with character. Nobody cleaned our room both days. Check-in and check-out were badly handled, took forever, and no bill was sent: had to follow up. Management did try to address check-in problems and was responsive. But way too expensive for the experience we had.

We were put in a room that was on the 3rd floor but even with that our floor shook with vibrations and there was a loud mortor sound all day and night. We asked the front desk to check it out and they said they did and fixed it but nothing was done. For the money this should have been made right. The hotel basically took off the $45.00 parking fee. Lastly the roof top bar is run down ripped cushions nothing special.

The hotel and area were beautiful; however, I did not think the price, around $600 a night, was at all worth the stay. There were no additional perks, such as a welcome or nightly reception. With $45 a night for parking as well, it was a bit of a disappointment. We love the area, but will be looking for accommodations that seem more reasonable next time.

Very nice updated hotel. I’d call it classic colonial style. Great location. 10 min walk to Thames street and the piers with all restaurants on the water. Very happy with the location and super clean bedrooms and sheets/pillows. The only one con I can say is the 45.00/day parking. It’s pretty steep considering there are many spots and you’re paying for the room. That is the only negative.
