It was nice the way the staff kept in touch through texting. I was a little disappointed with my view. That I had to stand to see through the window towards the top of the wall. A lot of little things went wrong, like the maids trying to force their way into the room around 9:00 am. There was no ‘do not disturb’ sign to hang on the door. There were more things, I just don’t want to go through the effort to type them all. It wasn’t a peaceful visit.

Been coming yo this location with my parents from 7th grade thru high school and then with friends and hsve seen many changes over thr years from yhr Sheraton Islander to the Hyatt to Gurney's and now The Newport Harbor Island Resort!! This property has a orcial place in my heart and I get excited when crossing the Jamestown & Newport Bridges and of coursr the Goat Island Bridge!! Love the updates to the property and the location is fabulous!! Staff very attentive, kind & helpful!! 👍😄❤️

My husband and I spend the past weekend there, and because of the weather we spend most of our time in the resort which we don't regretted at all. Beautiful place, very clean, beautiful view and the staff was very sweet with us. Family friendly, I definitely recommend this place.

A Quick Getaway

Hotel room was clean and spacious. We had a beautiful water view and a view of the Newport Bridge. The food in the Torpedo Lounge was very good, especially the breakfast. Melissa, our server for breakfast, was top notch. She was warm, friendly and efficient. The only issue we had was a noisy room above us - the plank floors didn’t provide any soundproofing. Overall, a lovely stay.

The property overall was super nice and clean. Indoor pool was nice and hot, with plenty of towels. Parking was convenient with a $20 fee for self parking and $45 for valet. The room we were in was newly renovated with a beautiful view of the dock/ocean. The only 2 complaints that I have were that the heating system was super loud and it was impossible to sleep with it on and the other thing was that the bed pillows weren’t the best for sleeping. Other than that everything else was fine and I would definitely recommend it for a weekend getaway! An 8/10 experience.
