"My husband and I recently stayed at Brenda's cottage and had a very peaceful and relaxing birthday weekend. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and Brenda was a fantastic host, personable and easy to reach when we had questions. I especially loved the kitchen, which was stocked with all the dinnerware, cookware, and gadgets you might need, and the porch, which was a comfy place to hang out in and play cards at night. Be sure to check out the small photo album in the living room, which shows the cottage's extensive remodeling work — very impressive! Also, for groceries, I highly recommend Belmont Market in Wakefield. They offer a wide selection of prepared foods, including vegan dishes, and they list all the ingredients on the container. "Asa’s home was perfect for our family vacation of 4 (including our dog), but can accommodate many more - The view was so delightful (amazing) that it was difficult to leave each day to explore Newport and the surrounding area. Check-in was a breeze as Asa met us upon arrival to explain everything about the house. The house was lovely and comfortable. It was well-stocked with everything you would need for your stay. Getting to Newport was very easy as the house is close to the Jamestown Bridge. Narragansett is just a short drive away. We also enjoyed visiting the birthplace of Gilbert Stuart, the famous portrait artist. Much to do in the area but we really enjoyed just relaxing at this lovely home. We would not hesitate to recommend Asa’s getaway and we look forward to returning!"
