The inn was very nice and clean. It was in a quiet area away from the crowded harbor area of Newport. Enjoyed sitting on the second floor deck of the inn after walking around Newport to reset before dinner

Central and walkable to everything we wanted to see. The room was well-appointed and clean. The breakfast was perfectly portioned and meticulously stocked. It could use more fresh fruits, though, but it was sufficient. We would love to visit here again.

First time staying at The Attwater and it went smooth. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. The breakfast they serve is yummy and healthy. I appreciated the daily tidying and fresh towels. The area is quiet and seems safe. Walkable distance to all major hotspots in downtown Newport. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, just off of Bellevue Ave. Perfect spot to explore Newport, with the museum next door along with the mansions close and the waterfront just down the street. Room was expansive, with large sitting area. Excellent morning breakfast and extremely courteous staff. Definitely would stay here again.

We have stayed at The Attwater a few times.The positives are the location, the comfy bed and shower. The not so positives...room was not very clean with stained towels, broken lamp shades, broken light and dirty bathroom fan. I would not say this is a one time problem...the bathroom fan looked like it had not been touched in a long time and the rugs were stained, worn with rolled up edges. We did speak to the manager and she apologized but other than the common areas this hotel just looks tired and ready for a refresh!
