Disappointing. Given the property's history, we had high hopes and were extremely disappointed during our one-night stay. The room was depressing, the carpet was actually STICKY, and the breakfast they put out in the morning consisted of cold cereal, cold hard-boiled eggs, a toaster that would not toast on the first try and then burnt the crappy bread they provided on the second attempt. We could not wait to check out and leave this horrible, sad hotel.

As can be seen in numerous other reviews, most guests truly enjoy the Jailhouse Inn - from location to historic vibe to included amenities such as parking and continental breakfast - so it is very concerning to us that you had such different impressions. Regarding your carpet comment, is there any chance you could let us know when you stayed or which room you were in? There is no name associated with your review, and we would really love to take extra measures in whatever room you are describing. As for breakfast, the assortment from cereals to hot oatmeal to breads, croissants, ham, cheese, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, and tea is intended to have "something for everyone" - we are very sorry it was not to your liking and are always open to suggestions. All of us here at the Jailhouse do everything we can to give our guests the best experience possible - again, we are very sorry we did not succeed in your case.
