We had a great stay, the Innkeeper Brian was awesome. The hotel is very clean and has nice little touches like a freshly prepared continental breakfast, good coffee, and for those who need it a nice little smoking area set up outside. The hotel is walking distance from busy Central Ave where we walked each night to have dinner. I would say this hotel has immense value if that’s the type of hotel you’re looking for. Oh and the bed was very comfortable along with the nice cool AC, I slept like a baby as the hotel was full but still had a nice quiet presence. We will be back as we’re looking for a new home in the area :)

The customer representatives were friendly and helpful. However, this place needs a lot of updates. The lobby rug looks dirty and smell. The wall around toilet holder was broken. The walls on the room needed a good cleaning. The bathroom also had a bad odor. The food was not that great. In fact, we rather cancelled our last night stay; which meant loosing money. We don’t understand why this place was rated 9.6. With all respect, it should be rated only 6.0 or even less than that. We’re very disappointed with this reservation. Sincerely David and Genevieve

Love the small independent family hotel that is personal ! Quick early check in from the son of the owners - very cute ! The hotel is 20 rooms ; free parking inc continental bfast in the best western / Hampton inn style in the lobby . Reminds me of a B&B in England ! Great location - very quiet but walking distance to the action on Central Avenue . Room is adequate - ok size with dressing table and desk - double bed / side tables . AC and TV . Attached bath - maybe 7x5 - not very large but adequate . For one night and the money it was worth it ! Furniture is antique - I liked the old world . Yes baseboard is a bit chipped but we didn’t care . Room for improvement ; free bottled water ? Liked having the mini fridge .

Building is very interesting structure that has been a part of St. Petersburg for almost 100 years. It is a weil maintained building. Reminds me of the boarding houses that are in old movies. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the complementary beer in evening and breakfast in the common area. It was apparent that the owner is proud of his motel. We were staying there due to activities at our home in Seminole. As a 40 year resident of the area, we have an interest in the history of “old” structures in St. Petersburg. It is nice that a place like the Inn on 3rd Ave is still here and going strong. Highly recommend this place to stay.
