"Nice place, no sleep "
No sleep due to the room above us thumping/walking back and forth and slamming doors until 4:00am. May have been kids running around, who knows.

The room was comfortable and clean. I was on the first floor and you can hear the people walking around in the room above you. It would probably be a good idea to request a room on the top floor. Other than poor insulation I don't have anything negative to say about our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful.

"Great for couples :)"
Pros-Close to amenities. AWESOME mirror placement! ;) Comfy beds. Con- loud pipes or something. Every time someone was showering or had the tub water going, it was really loud in our room. Sounded like an airplane.

"Great Stay!"
Stayed 3 nights on a 2 week trip through CA and loved it. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Our room was nice with a balcony and a great view of the lake. The beds were very comfortable We were right across the street from a beach and within walking distance of lots of restaurants and activities. They provide complimentary bikes and maps of biking trails and hikes which my sons really enjoyed.

"Perfect boutique hotel for family snow play"
Now that we're a family of five (the youngest being age 3), booking hotels usually means two rooms when we travel. We wanted to take the youngest to see her first snow, so Tahoe was the best choice especially after it got 5 feet over Christmas week. Can't tell you how much we loved Basecamp. We are definitely more the boutique hotel travelers even when we were kid less. So to have the same modern aesthetic and vibe was great. And even better we loved the "family" room which I expected would be small as it has two queens and two single bunks overhead. But so surprised at the large space for a room that sleeps 6. We loved the decor and modern design; bathrooms and all looked fairly new and updated. Beds were comfy; rooms super warm even while watching snow fall outside the wall-to-wall glass doors to the balcony. Then there's this great huge courtyard area next to the "Beer Garden" which had great food and beers (even a margarita for me) for parents; and kids got marshmallows on a long skewer to roast outside in the snow where two fire pits were going strong... Then made s'mores. The converted modern garage space with fireplace, flatscreen and ping pong table were great but kids just played in the snow filled courtyard. It was pretty ideal. The hotel is 8 minutes walking from the Heavenly Gondola and village resort where there's so much to do; not driving around was fabulous. There's also a large super market Raley's there, toy shop, Starbucks, ice skating and movie theatre

"Pleasantly surprised"
I haven't stayed at Harrah's in ages. I loved the room. Big, well-appointed and tastefully decorated. 2 separate bathrooms - choices, choices. Comfy bed (but not like home) and crisp, clean sheets made for an enjoyable sleep. But the best? they have these amazing sofas in the rooms. High backed, long, with a slight curve. I want one for my home! What clinches it is that it has a pullout bed as well. I spent some time curled up on it reading. Very cozy, very comfortable. The only negative with the room? While there are plenty of USB ports, they aren't the most handily located. But, if that is the complaint, well, first world problems abound. I ate at Fridays and the food was well thought out, tasty, filling and well balance flavor-wise. A bit pricey even by San Francisco standards but I'd go back again.

"Wonderful Stay"
Had a wonderful time. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only thing that could have been better was we should have been informed ahead of time that the pool on Saturday was only open to VIP's attending the Celebrity golf tournament, although Harvey's guests were allowed to use the pool at Harrah's. Would definitely stay there again.
