Hidden Gem! What an awesome trip!
Pros:We liked all the little perks, how clean it was, how close it was to EVERYTHING and how helpful the staff was.
Cons:The only complaint I have is that the linens had a very strong fabric softener scent. I am very sensitive to scents and the sheets made my head hurt.
Location:The location is wonderfully close to everything yet off the main strip. Very nice.
This hotel is absolutely wonderful! The lobby is stocked with popcorn and coffee, it has DVD's you can borrow for free, the staff is friendly and prompt. We ended up getting a room upgrade, which was a wonderful surprise. The pool and hot tub were clean and being used by a number of people, the pool being heated to the mid-80s. The property has picnic tables, people barbecuing, it allows pets. There is a play structure and a little activity room where you can do things like scrapbook or rent equipment for outdoor activities. When we got into our room we were blown away. The room smelled nice and clean, all the surfaces were nice, clean and everything looked new. The sofa beds always scare me but this hotel uses spring mattresses that are inflatable, too, so it was very comfortable. The king bed was very comfortable with nice, down pillows. The bathroom has a double headed shower that the kids loved and has a heated fan so no one froze getting in and out of the shower. The room was well insulated so we stayed nice and toasty and noise wasn't an issue. The kitchenette was adorable and well stocked. I am very picky about smells, clean rooms, etc., and this place blew me away! We were in a deluxe studio and it was very spacious. We just kept saying, "This place is so wonderful! I can't believe how great this is!". We definitely have found our new place to stay in South Lake Tahoe and can't wait to go back! Thanks for making our last minute trip a stellar success

Great little find.
Fantastic find! We were upgraded w/o having to ask. Great staff; friendly, helpful and super accommodating. Rooms were newly renovated and super lean all around. But be aware that there's no AC in the rooms, so it an get pretty uncomfortable, however they supply you w screen and fan. They have nightly/daily activities and playground for little ones. Did I mention their GREAT staff members?! :)
Def going to stay there again!

What a gem to find in Tahoe
Pros:Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, cozy, well laid out floor plan, shower was amazing, mordern kitchen, heated pool & jacuzi
Cons:just donuts pieces of fruit & boiled eggs
I was a little hesitant because of just 3 outstanding reviews. They are true, we loved this place and would return again and again. We had a great time in Tahoe, and staying at this hotel made it even nicer. We parked in front of our room. The rooms are roomy and well decorated. We had a little kitchen and the floor of the shower is made up of these little pebbles that feel good on my feet. 2 flat panel TV's with free DVD's and popcorn too. It's just a few blocks from the ski lift, shopping and casinos.

The Staff Knows EVERYTHING!
Pros:Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, knowledgeable staff, easy on the wallet, heated pool for winter swimming!, hot tub, free movies, big rooms
I'd never been to Tahoe before, but I found the Americana online and took a chance because I liked the site and the prices. The pictures showed that the rooms were pretty large and they were. So we got there, tired from driving 10 hours. We were greeted so warmly. Got a free movie and help finding someplace to order food in. Elena was never impatient, bubbly and enthusiastic every day. And every day Victor helped us plan our budget conscience adventures. None of them disappointed. He sent us snowshoeing with FREE snowshoes! on awesome trails, we went snowmobiling and HAD to ride the gondola to the top of Heavenly. Our kids are too small for skiing, but we had so much fun in the snow. Coming back for some summer fun and guidance from the staff.

The rooms are huge! Really! I've never stayed in a place with so much for so little. There is an area that is like a living room with a couch, chair, tv, etc. and then you go up to little steps and your in a raised area with the bed, kitchenette, table, etc. The kitchenette had everything you need to comfortably stay for a week. I had my young children and we were able to make them snacks and meals. The rooms were extremely clean too!
They also have tons of activities to take part in each day. Some activities were geared toward children and some adults. Really fun though and the activities staff was a blast!
The pool was toasty warm even for January! Loved it. I really can't say enough about this place and how much you get for such a reasonable rate. We will return!

The Americana Village is the only Place we will Stay!
Pros:Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, free bike rentals, free golf clubs, free movie rentals, free on-site activites, kids play area on property
This is the only place we will stay in Tahoe! The rooms are big for the price, plus they have a little kitchenette so we could cook in the room. The resort offers all kinds of activities along with a basketball hoop, volleyball net, and a nice warm pool. We took a bike ride with the Resort Manager and other guests down to Regan Beach for one of their events and had a blast. Even though it’s close to everything, the resort still has a little slice of nature with trees and flowers all over. We made some great hamburgers on the barbecue grills outside! The staff makes you feel at home. We would recommend this to all our friends.
Spend the day at the beach and work on your tan with sun loungers (chaise longues) or relax in the shade with umbrellas. After a day at the beach, enjoy amenities at The Americana Village like an outdoor pool, complimentary bicycles, and a spa tub. Free breakfast is available daily. Public spaces have free WiFi.
