Great condo at Squaw Valley.

Pros: Great staff and good location for activities around Truckee and the North end of Lake Tahoe. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities neede
Cons: It was very noisy as the room was located right above the main walk between restaurants and shops.
Location: Limited restaurants - nothing for breakfast except Starbucks. Great if your activities are in Squaw Valley.
The front desk staff was very friendly and informative upon check in and responded quickly to any calls and requests. We were upgraded from a standard hotel room to a one bedroom condo. The room was comfortable, clean and very nicely appointed. My only complaint would be that it was noisy! We were located directly above a couple of restaurants in the main corridor of the village and the crowds outside were very noisy until after about 11:00 p.m. Loved the condo and location was fun - but it was noisy.

wonderful views

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
We were there during a 90 degree "hot spell". The condos are not air conditioned. Walking in the Village was pleasant; they had free entertainment scheduled on various nites.

Beautiful Location and Comfy Room

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, mountains
Cons: no a/c
This place was beautiful and nestled in the mountain valley. The rooms were all modern design and updated appliances. The staff was friendly and accommodating. It was nice there were not a lot of people there because it was the summer. Only reason it's not excellent across the board is no air conditioning. They do provide you with a fan and it cools off at night! Worth the extra drive from 80 to stay here!

Off Season

Pros: Quiet
Cons: no wifi
Beware of Off Season. I went in early May and the website was very deceiving. There was absolutely nothing open. The stores were closed. The top of the mountain was closed. The skating rink was closed contrary to the boast that they are open in the off season. Beautiful location and nice hotel but be prepared for hiking to be the only entertainment option.

Great place to stay in North Lake Tahoe

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
The Village at Squaw was great. When we went to check in they upgraded us from a studio style to a one bedroom. Previously skiing in Park City where you pay and arm and a leg for a room, we were quite pleased with the price and what we received.

Do Not Come Here, Staff and Service Unhelpful

Their customer service was really bad. First, the keys they gave us didn't work. We called them and they said they'd fix the problem soon, and that we could go out and they'd fix it by the time we came back. However, when we came back, the keys still did not work, and we were locked out of our room. It took over an hour and a half for them to come and open the door.

Not worth the money!

If all your interested in is being close to the ski lifts this is your hotel. Other than that we were very disappointed. The heater in the room would not turn off. We called maintenance each day and they sent someone out that couldn't fix the problem. We spent 4 days in a room that was so hot we had to leave the doors open. The village is very loud at night with people walking around so you won't sleep very much. The staff was not helpful and didn't know much about the area. They couldn't even recommend a grocery store close by.
