Everything from pulling up to valet and checking in on day 1 to checking out and valet pulling my car out for departure was easy and pleasant. The staff was very kind, friendly, and helpful. It was a true vacation. A lot of hotels in the area look fancy and modern but when you enter the room, everything from the carpet and decor to the bathroom fixtures looks like its from the 90s or early 2000s. This is certainly not the case in Margaritaville. The room was spacious, clean, and up to date. I usually like to include anything negative in my reviews but there just really isnt anything i can add except for lack of cleaning in the pool/gym area at night. But that's not really an issue with staff but more like other guests who cant clean up after themselves. The location was very convenient. I never had my car pulled out of valet once in the 3 days i stayed. Everything was walking distance with the gondola, a lot of shopping, and dining to choose from. Other than the pool room needing some cleaning at night, everything else was better than expected. If and when I come back to Tahoe, im definitely coming back.

Didn't like: pool area was unsafe to walk, water was all over the floor. Kids were unsupervised, jumping and diving into hot tub that used to be for adults only or at least children older than 13. The check-out area was overcrowded that never happened when the hotel was under old ownership. The food credit was not applied upon check out, I had to call and request a refund. Coffee maker was not working in the room. Food at breakfast "come in Monday" cafe was below mediocre.

I honestly was pleasantly surprised with my stay here. More space in the room than I anticipated and the bed was really comfortable with nice, plush pillows. Check out got kind of hectic just because of the number of people leaving at the same time during peak ski season but it was manageable.
