Not a resort! You will be disappointed.

Not worth the price — total disappointment I’m a long-time Hotels.com Silver member and have stayed at plenty of places, but this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. For nearly $500 for one night (room, resort fee + tax, valet parking only at $40), I expected far better. The room was dirty, old, and unsafe — no window screen, no security lock. No microwave, no coffee bar, and the in-room coffee came with only cheap powdered creamer. Drinks at the bar were overpriced and tasted like bad cruise ship cocktails. The online photos are misleading. They blend images from other properties, making it look like there’s another pool when there isn’t. In reality, it’s just a tired old hotel with a fresh coat of paint and a renovated lobby. Even the TVs aren’t smart TVs — just basic cable with a guide channel. I don’t mind paying more when the quality matches the price, but this place doesn’t come close. Hotels.com didn’t even price accordingly because there were so many extra charges. I paid $50 extra for early check in and also I paid for a few drinks and those charges are my responsibility but everything else is just crazy additional fees for a crappy hotel. It’s very misleading between Margaritaville and hotels.com. I’ve used hotels.com probably 50 times and this is the first time I can say I am disappointed.

I guess The hotel designer was thinking of Alcatraz when designing this hotel. It feels like a big prison. The pool smells really bad and always crowded with people. They advertise you can walk to the beach in 10 minutes but that beach is private and you need to oay $30 a person to get in. This hotel will overcharge you for parking and resort fees. The taff are friendly and always in rush. The breakfast is terrible and also overpriced. I didn’t like this hotel at all.

So loved the hotel, but ladies at check in front desk left a little to be desired. Not all of them but not going to call out names. Just not very helpful and rather condescending. Nice lobby (was an embassy suites a long time ago) bright and welcoming. Rooms were nice size and well equipped. Beds are a little to firm for me but nice bedding and quiet! Food at Landshark was mediocre, but the lobby bartender made awesome margaritas! Would stay again

If you drive a car, your only option to store your car is $40/day valet parking. While expensive and inconvenient, there were often long waits just to request your car. The pool was fairly cold and the hot tub was closed for half the time we were there. The nearest beach is very expensive and the hotel does not offer vouchers for that beach. Lastly, the standard for cleanliness of rooms was pretty low.

It was close to attractions and very clean and spacious. I didn’t like the fact we could not use the shuttle service. It was not available on Monday and Tuesday and where the shuttle went was not very far. And the hotel charges you a fee to use a microwave 🙄 Not happy with that.

Recommended

Check in was friendly and quick. Place felt fresh and vibrant without being “busy”. Didn’t get a chance to enjoy the pool, but checked it out. Cool that they have an adults only at the pool from 10pm to midnight for some wind down time. Live solo music for happy hour was fun and chill. Hope to be back
