Our second fun stay

This was our second time staying for two weeks, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The location can't be beat - direct beach access, fantastic people-watching/strolling/rolling on the boardwalk, plenty of good food nearby, and a lot of awesome sunsets. The unit does show its age to some extent, but it is roomy and functional, a great base from which to explore San Diego or just stay put and enjoy the view.

My family and I very much enjoyed this property. Living space and kitchen were good size. Bedrooms perfect size for four of us. Only thing that was a bit odd was the shower/jacuzzi in the master bedroom. We just didn’t use it and used the main shower. Will definitely stay here again.

Fabulous location with beautiful ocean views.

Easy to reserve through the VRBO App. Place was clean and kitchen was well appointed. Furnishings are a bit dated, but comfortable. Perfect location, just steps from the beach. Our little family truly enjoyed staying there!

Fantastic location on Mission Beach

I was a little hesitant to rent this property given the lack of prior reviews, but I would not hesitate to return. The unit is as described - the whole top floor of a building right on the Mission Beach boardwalk, with a full-width balcony from which to enjoy some of the best people-watching imaginable. After a day of visiting one of the many nearby attractions, I looked forward to the best part of the day: Waiting for a sunset while enjoying some of San Diego’s best craft beers. (Clouds spoiled a few sunsets, but no evening was wasted given the action on the beach and boardwalk.) Inside, the unit is not fancy, but perfectly serviceable for a quality family vacation. The kitchen is well stocked and reasonably modern by vacation-rental standards, the furniture functional and comfortable, and everything is clean. For us the only negative was the master bath combination tub and shower: As a shower, it’s pretty awkward, but this is a very minor issue. Parking in the garage is tight but doable once you learn the best path for backing in; however, a larger SUV would not be fun here. (Our minivan rental fit just fine.)
