This property is undergoing a MAJOR renovation and we should have been told when we were booking the room that we would have limited access to areas, only 1 of four ice machines worked, phones in rooms did not work, internet was intermittent, and several other unsafe conditions with construction debris/materials in hallways and exits.

Stay was quite enjoyable. The checkin process wasn't what I expected sadly. Bretta, at the front desk, did a super great job of handling the stressors of a busy holiday weekend accompanied with a short staff. Checkin was supposed to be around 3pm, however, my room wasn't ready until 6:15pm. That's my only complaint. They were nice enough to lower my room rate, so overall am not too sore about the issue.

I booked this hotel for one a night stay because Double Tree was a good hotel in my mind. Boy was I wrong. The check in staff service was ok but the feel and cleanliness of the actual facility was horrible. You can immediately feel and notice when you walk into a hotel if it is well maintained or not. This hotel needs major upgrades. The worst part about all of this is that we were given a handicap room right next to the elevator without any notice. Our room door had a huge gap underneath. We had to use some towels to cover it up at night. This was ridiculous. The room windows are NOT sound proof. We heard all the cars go by. Noise proof windows should be a standard for al hotels. Do not book this hotel even if it is a few dollars cheaper than other know hotels. Lastly we were charged $7 for parking each night. This information was not disclosed before booking online. Worst hotel experience ever.

This hotel was conveniently located--only about 10 minute drive to anything else in Salem. It was a little too close to the freeway, so if you're sensitive to noise, that could be an issue. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was SUPER friendly and overly accommodating. I stayed 3 nights and heated food in my room. I only wish that there was a wet bar sink to rinse the dishes, instead of only the bathroom sink. Also, I wish there were real coffee cups in the rooms, instead of only paper. Last wish is OnDemand TV options, or a smart TV with Netflix/Hulu/Prime, etc.

Very well taken care of, clean-I didn’t see any trash outside, and I love that the room comes with a fridge and microwave, saved me extra money on eating out.

When we checked in the pool was not open due to cleaning. Part of the reason we booked was because of the pool so this was disappointing. But ok- it couldn’t be helped. Perhaps if they would have done something to make up for it. Then up in our room, the bathroom walls were very dirty. On the bright side, The staff was friendly.
